I wanted to get a security system for my home and it was between ADT and another company. Everyone has their opinion of who they like and who they don't. I ended up choosing ADT because of how established the company is. When they installed the keypad I was unimpressed because of how large it was. I thought about it and decided to take advantage of ADT's 72 hour cancellation policy and cancelled the service. I told them I thought the keypad was too big and outdated. The next day the secretary was on the phone with me and offered me a smaller touch-enabled keypad along with $100 off which covered my first two months of service.

It is fine. They are just an alarm company that provides service. They were already all hooked up at the house that I bought 2 years ago. It costs $45 a month. I don't like paying that much, but it is what it is. I haven't had the need to get response from them. My contract is up in a year so I am going to reevaluate.
