A+ Remodeling and Construction

I am out 19,000.00 because of these people. They built me a porch without going through proper channels. And the engineer this company used didn't get his fee. I was hanked around by this company for nine months. I eventually fired them because I was sick to death of the lies, shoddy work. So today I find out most engineers wont touch this project to correct the issue. It's all going to have to be torn down and rebuilt. That's $19,000.00 plus however much to rebuild. Let me include I am a senior citizen on a fixed income

Homeowners please use caution when using this company. Jerry does not pay his bills for vendors and vendors will place a lien on your house to collect payment!

We hired A+ Remodeling and Construction to remodel our large and poorly designed master bathroom. Jerry came in and had an outstanding vision for the project right away. His plan allowed for a much better use of the space and an attractive and functional bathroom with a large shower and a very nice walk-in closet. The bathroom looks great and we are very happy with the final product. We did have problems along the way and ended up causing us to severely adjust work, travel and house guest schedules. There were parts of the job that ground to a halt when people wouldn’t show up, show up hours late or they would leave early. We were left waiting dozens of times. Communication was very good at first but then got worse and worse as the job plodded along. Jerry told us in the beginning “ten days to two weeks” to complete the job. Ultimately it took three months. Our last issue and the one that put us off the most was the water heater. There were several stories along the way – all of which turned out to be some kind of juvenile and insulting stall tactic. Messages were not returned, people didn’t show up when promised, text messages went unanswered, and on and on. Telling us that we would hear from them Tuesday and not hear anything until Thursday or Friday was common. As for the water heater issue; I overheard one of the employees talking. He told one of the plumbers that “Jerry ordered the wrong water heater and didn’t do his research”. No one knew I overheard that conversation in my home. It proved to me that we were getting a lot of run-around. Now – while I would NOT use this company again, they do excellent work for the most part. I think that everything MUST be in writing BEFORE you pay them a single cent. I would insist on a contract that explains where the money goes, where they purchase items, timeline, regular check-ins with the customer, and names of companies doing the work. Another item that made me NOT trust them; They were ordering our water heaters, three or four in all, from ebay and Amazon. They insisted that the products were not available locally. I did a simple check on that statement by calling three local plumbing supply companies in our area – they all had the water heaters in stock. Jerry lost our future business as we have another bathroom and a kitchen project in our future. We will not be calling A+ Remodeling and Construction. The job finally got done once I filed a complaint with Angie’s List, left an F rating and casually mentioned small claims court. We are now enjoying our bathroom and hold no ill will or resentment.

They came promptly, the next day after we signed the contract. The project moved smoothly, with only a few delays, and we are pleased with the professional results.

Jerry and his crew were very professional. He and his guys were there on time, worked diligently each day. Cleaned up after themselves each day, which was important to us du yo having small children. There wasn't even a nail or water bottle left behind ever. The quality is as expected.

They were prompt and did an excellent job repairing the damage. When that job was complete I had them reformat my fireplace with reclaimed wood and it is so gorgeous I love it! I old recommend At and Jerry Bumpass to anyone. Besides the great work they do Jerry is a great man that would do anything for anyone. Also the price was more competitive than anyone I called.A+ gets an A++ from me!!!!

We were very pleased with the process overall. We moved out and moved our own furniture to save time and money. The crew was very courteous and efficient. When we went through the punchlist at the end, they were very quick to make sure everything we noticed was fixed. They even came back to fix two things I found later. Our process was stretched out a kittle, but that's because we also did some painting and told them they could take their time as we weren't in a hurry. All in all we were out about 2 1/2 weeks.

A+ Construction and Remodeling were contracted to do a remodel of a kitchen, dining area, and a few other areas of our new house. Jerry has been up front on what the job should cost, where corners can and cannot be cut, and some other pretty cool recommendations. This is on a 67 year old house with multiple add ons and jobs done over time. Flooring was torn out and replaced in over 3500 sq ft.  His crew has been very professional, courteous, and helpful over this time. James, Josh and Bryce are some standouts. After two months and some unforeseen setbacks, we are nearing completion. My wife and I couldn't be happier. 

Jerry and crew also did some work at my wife's office on short notice and the experience was the same. Quick, correct and priced reasonably. Good group of West Texas men who get the job done.

It was great!! The guys were very polite & considerate. They cleaned up after themselves.

Was replaced in 5 days just as promised.

The guys showed up just when expected, professionally dressed, respectful and ready to get down to business. When the job was complete the promptly cleaned up and walked thru with me.
