The building is two story with pull-down steps to the upper floor. The way the steps were attached was very bad. The top of the unit was not snug against the supporting beam, but rather stood out about two inches with the nails showing. Also the shingles started falling off almost immediately. We kept calling the company and they would eventually come out and replace the shingles, however the shingles still kept falling off. After they had replaced shingles maybe four times, they told me that the shingles had not been put on correctly to start with and they replaced them all.
When they replaced the shingles they threw every one of the old roofing nails on the ground. I didn't realize it until one morning when found I had a flat tire! I got a large magnet and picked up over 100 nails in the grass all around the building.
They also re-attached the steps. Now the top of the unit stands out about 1 inch and the beam it is attached to is split. It really looks unsafe. Also, several more shingles have fallen off. We need to call them back out, since we paid extra for 30 year shingles, but we are just so disgusted with the whole mess.
