The first day of the installation there were 3 people, 2 laying tile and one helping. It was a father and son team, the son was named Daniel.  The second day only one man showed up who did not speak English.  He cut the doorjambs and frames with a hand saw and cut them a half inch off the floor.  He did not have a wet tile saw and was cutting the tiles by hand leaving large gaps along the walls.
I called Stone Works and talked to Diane Wren, my sales person, told her what was happening and that we needed someone to come out. She sent another crew who had the proper equipment but the one man who had cut the doorjambs kept working and laying tile.
The third day only the one man came back who didn't speak English and grouted the tile.  He left such a haze on it that it took me 3 days to get it off with repeated moppings.  The tile was unlevel everywhere and the grout dried to white when it should have been brown.  I took pictures and went to Stone Works to show them, Diane said someone named Joe would come out to look and they would make it right.  It was a week before Joe came to look, he agreed it was a bad job and they would order more tile to redo some of it and acid wash the grout to make it the right color.  I told him I did not want the original crew to come back so he sent Ken Neighbors, an experienced tile layer to redo the floor.  When Ken started trying to take up some of the unlevel tiles, he found that the tiles were not
bonded to the slab.  After consulting with Jason Stone, the owner of Stone Works, he ordered enough tile to redo the whole job.  The tile was on back order and we had to wait 3 weeks to get it.  Ken also said he would replace the door frames that were cut too short.  While I was waiting on the tile to come in I had my own trim man take out all the damaged door frames and jambs so we could replace them when the tile was relaid.  This job was not finished until August, it was started in May.  The office manager named Kathy reduced my final bill to pay for the replacement of the doors and frames and half the labor of the trim man I hired.  I am still cleaning gray dust off the walls from the removal of the bad tile job.  It was the worst experience I have ever had with a flooring installation

The service went badly. They were supposed to have all of March and half of April to complete the job.  They got a key the first day and we went by daily to check on progress.  They brought in tools and laid them around.  They didn't do anything for two weeks.  The painter put his tools in there so he could paint. They took another two weeks to do their part before the painter finished.  That left two weeks to complete entire project.  The painter was sloppy.  We tried painting a couple of rooms, and when the painter came in he got paint on the walls we just painted.  We had to clean up messes after them.  There was paint on the walls, you could see where they tried to wipe it off, and on the carpets.  There was an open box cutter they left laying around and we found it when our granddaughter was in the home.  The plumber was putting in the water heaters, instead of using the original hole, he created a new one and told me to fix the original hole.  There were quite a few holes in the walls and they left them open.  They didn't sheetrock or fill it with insulation.  Some of the pipes he ran that connected to the new addition were left exposed.  They cut a hole back in the bedroom closet, where they were going to put the water heater, and decided not to do it.  When they patched the hole in the closet, they didn't texture it or paint. It was sloppy.  They put up the lighting in the master bathroom over the sink, one fixture was put up and they said the other was broken and they were going to get another one.  We bought them to match and they got two that didn't match at all.  They never checked with us to see if this was okay. They moved a lighting fixture and didn't texture the original hole where the fixture was. They smoothed it over with mud. When they put in the bathroom vanities, they were new and unfinished.  They covered the shower with a small piece of plastic and it came off and they never put it back and continued spraying and staining. The painter got stain on the fiberglass shower, along with mud and paint overspray. We wanted vapor barrier on the siding and they had to remove some of the siding and they weren't happy.  When I talked to Jason, he said I shouldn't bother them while they are working. Jason wanted us to leave it alone, in hopes to slip it by the inspector.  I wanted the hole in the roof and ceiling repaired and they said the inspector wouldn't look up.  I told them I wanted it fixed and they rushed out to repair the roof, but the ceiling hole was never fixed.  When we would catch them doing something "halfway," the contractors said "We're doing what Jason says."  His contracts are confusing.  He wanted the work to be done cheap.   The plumber said he left the holes so the inspector could see the pipes. I asked the inspector if he needed to see the pipes, he said "No, I need to see a finished wall." Jason had to be heard first, and when we tried to speak, he'd speak over us.  On his quotes, there's a "Building Fee." Each time he wrote a new quote the Building Fee went up. Jason didn't oversee the job and to make sure they were doing their jobs. He would get mad at us for contacting.

Diane works there and she helped me pull together what I wanted and needed.  It is a huge bathroom, has a lot of tile, and granite counter tops.  I give them high ratings and will continue to use them if needed in the future.
