STATE FARM INSURANCE

I went to Rob Basset's insurance agency primarily because I've been a State Farm customer since the '80s, but the agency is also close to my house, and Rob is a fellow Aggie. I wanted to change agencies because the agent my mother had been using was unable to organize coverage for our lake house (after eight months of not trying, it seems). Also, their rates did not seem to be competitive in general, so it was time for a change.

I was introduced by the receptionist, Sonia, to Kristen Bruce, an account representative, who was professional and courteous. Kristen took my initial information and promised to put together some proposals, then meet with me the next day to look at them.

Kristen called me the next morning and we arranged a time to meet. When I arrived, she greeted me warmly. She had prepared a number of proposals for different insurance scenarios, and discussed the pros and cons of each with me. Through knowledgeable guidance, Kristen was able to help me select the policies and the amounts that we needed. 

The next day, Rob Basset came out and inspected the house here in Longview, giving me a number of tips on how to make it safer. We have an acre of lush woodland in the city, and Rob had some good suggestions that we followed, including taking down some trees that were a potential threat to the house, if they fell.

A few days later, the actual policies arrived from State Farm confirming my purchases and our status as happy customers. Thanks and hats off to Kristen for such excellent work.
