Fantastic job

This was a tough project as the crawl space was pretty tight. The house was built in 1934 so most of the plumbing was original and in bad shape. It took about 4 days. They stuck with it with many challenges.

They went beyond the call of duty on their own initiative. They were able to fix the leak without during the foundation of the house apart as what was quoted from another plumber. It only cost me $200 where it might have cost me $2000 if I had another plumber break through the brick foundation of my home. He said he would be there at 8 o'clock in the morning on a Monday and he was there at 8 o'clock. By 8:10, we provided me with what he thought where the leaking was and within the hour, it was fixed.

He said that the price includes labor and materials, permits, tax, etc. Originally quoted at $2450 but he added an additional $408 because of added time due to poor city valves. We had to wait on the city of Gladewater to fix their valves before he could finish. He tried to tack that extra money onto my bill, even though that delay had nothing to do with me. I had called a plumber friend of mine for advice on the added charge. He told me to offer to pay half of it and Mr. Ledbetter accepted that offer. He shouldn't have charged me the additional money to begin with and I would never use him again because of that. I would have like him to at least call me about the additional cost, which he did not. It just showed up on the invoice.
His wife was in and out of the hospital at this time. I'm sorry that she was ill, but I'm thinking that maybe he should not have taken this job. Perhaps he should have taken some time off because I felt like he was not committed to the job because he was distracted.

The service man showed up on time and got the drain opened. My wife asked the service man to look at the slow running water at the faucet. The service person found some trash in the line and fixed it. Then he said we had a leak and he replaced the basket strainer in the sink. All in all the person was there 1 and 1/2 hours.
Here is my problem with them. The billing starts when the service man left his facility. Even though the billing is 1 hour minimum to show up, he billed for an additional 15 minutes driving time. Additionally, when we checked the invoice, he made a math error, in his favor, by charging an additional 30 minutes. We had to call him back to fix the billing error.
Second problem was he replace the sink basket strain. The sink had a brushed nickel strainer and he replaced it with a cheap chrome strainer. The original strainer was less than 1 year old and in all my years I have not seen one spring a leak. I will never know because he took my strainer with him.
Third problem they charge an additional rental fee for using the machine of $30. Never saw a change like this before.
When my wife questioned the service man about their billing practice he said Ledbetter plumbing is good but we are expensive.
I called the owner to register a complaint twice, I missed his first return call and have not heard from him again.
My wife does not feel comfortable using this type of service provider and we will not call them again. I would suggest you check your invoice very carefully if you decide to use them.

Great! Happy to have both sinks working again. Guys were thorough and got the job done.

After another plumber sent by our home warranty company was out and told us that our drains needed to be cleaned by going from the roof stack down, Ledbetter Plumbing ran a snake from the main tap out all the way through and was able to clean it without going on the roof. He was very professional and helpful. I will use them again if plumbing services are needed.

They were personable, prompt, professional, and fixed some difficult things for a reasonable price.

They are always courteous, prompt and do an excellent job regardless of the size of the job. I started using them in 1999 when we first moved to town and have never had a reason to call anyone else.

Creating the service call was excellent. The representative was very pleasant. Scheduled the service call for first stop. Kenny called me promptly in the morning and told me he would be arriving shortly. He arrived on site as expected. I told him why we called. He confirmed the reason for the service call and proceeded with the work. When he finished, he explained everything he had done to complete the call. He washed off the porch around the access cap. I was very pleased and will call again in teh future.

Office phone was answered by a well spoken, professional employee who promptly took down my information and scheduled an appointment for my requested date and time. The plumber called me before departing the shop, which was courteous and arrived on time. He phoned local businesses to locate the replacement parts, traveled to pick them up and performed the installation in a timely manner. The total fee charged was more than expected, but the repair did take approximately 3 hours, including travel time. With hourly rates being what they are, I am sure the total cost was fair. We were very pleased with the transaction and can give Ledbetter Plumbing our highest recommendation.

We had used Ledbetter Plumbing before on a drain line problem and they were very professional and price was reasonable. This time they worked 3 days on the kitchen to do the plumbing connections and install the sink, new faucet and disposal. They went far beyond normal service to locate a proper sink when the one we bought at Lowe's could not be installed. We were thrilled with their choice of sink from a plumbing supplier because it is larger, heavier, better quality steel, and a lower price. We had to call them back the first time we used the dishwasher for a major leak. They determined the appliance installer (not Ledbetter) did not tighten the water line to the dishwasher sufficiently. Ledbetter corrected that error of the other party. They were always prompt, very thorough, very professional, left everything clean, and their price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. We would definitely call them back for a plumbing problem in the future.

It went perfectly as always. Ledbetter Plumbing is always prompt, courteous, and efficient. They arrive when they say to they'll be here, and they stay until the job is finished. They have the supplies on the truck so there is no delay with their service.

Plumber showed up on time, was professional and polite. Even though I had no details regarding how long problems existed or even where to turn water off to the house (he figured it out), he was able to diagnose and correct both problems within an hour. If I ever need a plumber in Longview again, I will call Ledbetter.

Hired the company on 6/21/2012 to start on Mon. 6/25/2012 that would take 5 days. Its is now week 5 and they are still not done because they would do other jobs and leave ours unattended. The owner showed up to give us an estimate and because he did not write anything down, left out a lot of what we requested (shower head (plumbing equipment for shower head)) in the kids bathroom, requested new faucets through out house because all have been rusted from all the old pipe lines, and sinks to go with that. So through out this process we are having to call constantly wanting to know when they would be done and why is this not getting done and we got a lot of I didn't know or I will have the guy who is doing it call you. He would tells us it wasn't on his work order. They have left this hole in my cement front porch where they dug up a pipe and did not estimate a cost to re-cement it... So now I have this gap in my steps that I will have to hire someone else to fix. Pipe lines from kitchen were thrown in my back yard and left. They had to dig up some tree to replace the main sewer line and left it all in our neighbors yard that we also have to hire someone to come clean up. This has over all been a very bad experience. Very disappointing and frustrating. They tell us they are done but we still find ourselves calling needing this finished (plumbing in kids bathroom still not complete) and they disconnected our gas to the water heater, they had to come back out and turn that back on. The one thing I would do different if I had to do it again, is get a written work order and estimate instead of a verbal. Live and learn.

They did all the work within two or three hours. The minute we called, they were here. We have used them before. They were here very quickly so they could coincide with the flooring people, it was amazing. They came out immediately.

He cleaned up after himself. The price was fair. He was very respectful.

I have used them on an ongoing basis. The work is outstanding; I hold them in the highest regard and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are always professional and have every tool they need on their truck. They do the work quickly and efficiently and I will use them again in the future.
