They didn't do a good job and I still need to get it done. They broke 2 pipes in the process and acted like they didn't know what to do.

I found East Texas Foundation Repair online when looking for related services near Tyler, TX. Although this particular business was not already rated on Angie's List, several members had included very positive ratings for this business under another foundation repair service with a similar name.
I contacted the office just before the weekend, and the receptionist told me that the owner, Tim Thomas, personally supervised all of the work of the business, but was out of town on another job until the first of the following week. We scheduled the appointment for the estimate on the following Tuesday. Mr. Thomas was not only on time -- he was early for our appointment, was extremely cordial, and very efficient as he analyzed the problem from the exterior of the house, and measured (to the tenth of an inch) the degree of deviation of the foundation in the interior portion that was involved. Then, he provided an estimate.
Based on the cost, which I considered very reasonable considering some comparisons with which I was familiar, I suggested that we set the date for repair. I received a call the following day indicating that he and his crew would be here the following Monday to begin work. Again, Tim was here right on time, got his crew working, and began preparing to install nine foundation supports, part of which had to be installed under an existing deck.
Over the course of the next three days, he and his crew got the supports prepared, as he kept us continually informed of the progress and the projected schedule and remaining steps in the process. On Thursday, the morning of "the lift" he asked me to be at the house, first to allow access to the interior during the process, but also so I could be a part of the decisions related to the extent of the correction. I was impressed not only by the power of the equipment being used (I've never been in a "moving house" before), but by the accuracy and care that Tim and his crew applied to the process.
In just a few minutes of "lifting", the deviation was resolved, several visible indications of the foundation movement were immediately corrected, and Tim and his crew began the follow-up as I went back to work. When I returned four hours later, all of the supports were fully covered, the deck was put back together, and the extra dirt (which I had asked to have left for another project) was neatly piled and covered exactly where I had asked for it to be deposited.
Over the course of conversations during the process, I learned that Tim had been in business in the area of concrete installation and foundation repair for over 30 years. That experience, in my amateur opinion, was evident in all he and his crew did to repair my home.
I am extremely pleased with the work of East Texas Foundation Repair and, although I hope I never need their services again, would not hesitate to call them should that need arise.
