He turned an unsightly area of hard packed dirt into a tranquil memorial garden at the Methodist Church in Llano Texas. Marcos drew a design based on opinions from various members of our church. He used xeriscaping techniques to keep down the need for water. He installed water collection barrels and underground water trenches to make use of rainwater runoff. He built a gravel path and planted various trees and beautiful plants to make a nice setting. He used river rocks as borders and installed landscape lighting to highlight the stained glass windows on one side of the courtyard. He had electricity installed to run a pump for a beautiful water feature. After all the plants were installed he kept them watered and trimmed through the summer. Since then he has come back and re-planted or changed some plants that didn't look as good as he thought they should. Recently he came and trimmed back dead limbs on perennials after the first freeze.
