Snook has had a good reputation for many years, so I felt comfortable when he said we could simply go with a repair rather than a full roof replacement. Prior to his work we had a small leak in the kitchen that only leaked when it rained very hard. After his repair, we developed a worse leak in an entirely different room of the house. The leak caused our wood floor to swell and warp in that area.
When I called him, he apologized and said when they were doing the repair, he saw an area that was pretty bad that he didn't see when he came to do the estimate. He said they tried to repair it, but I would need a new roof right away.
Needless to say, his repair apparently didn't work and I'm out the $550 for his 'repair' job, and am now shopping for a new roof and tarping the bad area in the mean-time! And I'm now in need of floor repair as well.
I would use Snook to put on an entirely new roof because he does have a good reputation, but I would not trust him to do a repair again.
