The Lowes representative, Stuart Wright, was generally responsive and pleasant. He gave me a bid of around $8,200 which was around $2,000 higher than at least 3 other bids I had received. But I went with Lowes because of reputation, warranty and payment options. Lowes subcontracted the job. 
The job did not start on time. The first crew they sent started the job and then disappeared for several days. But the work that crew did was awful. They left posts from the old fence that should have been removed, actually installing new fencing boards on top of the concrete the old posts were set in such that the old posts could not be removed. They did not level the fence and the entire fence had a tremendously large slope from one corner of the property to the other. They installed gates incorrectly and cut the top of gates out, with very crooked cut lines. They left large gaps between boards, especially at the gates that anyone could peer through (did I mention it was supposed to be a PRIVACY fence?). They left the property in a shambles with crap strewn from here to there all over my property, They left a huge gaping whole between gate and house roof line that anyone could have literally crawled through. They didn't fill post holes that they had dug. They followed a drawing that Stuart Wright had provided them which I never saw or approved and which was not drawn the way I would have wanted; thus, the fence line was not to my liking - why didn't Stuart discuss with me first?
There were more problems but I am getting tired of typing and I'm sure you get the idea - Lowes is totally scoring an "F" here. 
Once I saw all the problems that were going on, I called Stuart Wright from Lowes and he met me at the property. He agreed with every point above and was very embarrassed about what I was seeing and experiencing. He contacted the subcontractor and arranged for a new crew to come out and correct the issues. I was told the owner of the sub would contact me directly - he never did.
Stuart said he would be contacting both his Lowes store and regional managers and would be contacting me with an appropriate financial concession to make up for some of the frustration and inconvenience I had experienced as well as for the damage caused to my property by the initial work. 
The next crew finally showed up 3 days later and it took them several more days to complete the job. Did I mention this was supposed to have been a 2 day job? It took from beginning to end about 3 WEEKS to complete the job! Ultimately the second crew did a much better job although I had to ask them to come back to close the gaps at the gates that people could still see through. And, at the end, the fence is still not level from one corner of the property to another. Do these people not have levels? I bet they could buy one at Lowes!!
I'm ultimately reasonably pleased with the fence I ended up with - it generally looks nice. But no customer of any company, especially a national company like Lowes who priced the product/service at a premium price point, should ever have to go through what I went through. Additionally, now several weeks after completion, Stuart Wright has NEVER contacted me with a financial concession (remember he promised to get with both his store and regional managers to negotiate a reasonable financial concession for my troubles - numerous and gross errors, delays, and inconveniences. 
I went with Lowes because I expected them to stand behind their product and do the right thing. I'm still waiting. "F"
UPDATE: I just downgraded the above score of C on Responsiveness to a D because it is now several weeks later and I have reached out to Stuart Wright on numerous occasions, leaving many voice mails to inquire about the status of the financial concession he promised me. He is now ignoring my calls and has been 100% unresponsive. Soon, I will be writing a letter and sending a copy of this review to Lowes corporate office.

I liked that Lowe's pickup truck was easy to rent just to haul things around. I wish they had extra hours because the hours are like normal work hours and it's really handy. I could have rented the truck after I got off of work but we did it on a weekend.
