He was able to get it running. The provider was friendly and professional. He did a great job. The charge was very reasonable considering it was after hours and there was a repair needed.

Called Affordable AC for a second opinion- another provider wanted over $4000 to fix a "problem" where a dirty sock smell was coming from our AC unit.  The other company wanted to charge us 4k to clean all vents, filters, and install a hospital grade air purifier for each AC unit as well.
Affordable came out and saw that water was collecting in our drain pan because the drain lines were hooked up backwards by the "other company", and a simple cleaning of the pan and correct drain line installation was all it took.  Very happy we called them!

The short version -- Affordable A/C Services is prompt, polite and honest. Pricing is very reasonable and affordable.

Now, the details:

I called Ricky directly when he was with another customer, but he called me back in less than five minutes. When I reported that my A/C was not cooling, he asked a series of questions in a systematic way to narrow down the problem I was having -- ice had formed on the pipe of the outside A/C unit. He said he would be at my home in one hour and arrived in about 45 minutes. After performing some diagnostics on the A/C system, he explained what he had found and proceeded to recharge the Freon gas, much of which had leaked out. We then sat down for about 15 minutes to revisit ways to help keep the house cool this summer.

My family first used Affordable A/C Services almost 10 years ago when our A/C just died. We called several different companies, from small outfits to the big hardware store services -- all of them recommended replacing our nearly 10-year old A/C system (at the time) for anywhere between $8000 and $13,000. And then we called Ricky. He said that he could replace our whole system for a good price, or he could just fix our existing system for $200, parts and labor included. He had the system working again in less than 30 minutes.

Since that first service call, we have always used Ricky's company for all our A/C repair and maintenance needs every few years -- from routine check-ups to parts replacements -- and we have not had to replace our existing A/C system since his first visit.

We've come to trust Affordable A/C because Ricky has always been polite, prompt and honest. While it would be easy to find other A/C companies who will offer cheap prices, his charges have been very reasonable for the great quality of his work, and even his quotes for a new system would be hard to beat by most bigger outfits. When I asked him today for a new system quote, he even offered to provide the brand and model numbers of his proposed replacement system so that I could research them independently.

We will eventually replace our A/C with an updated and more efficient system. When we do, we are sure to call on Affordable A/C Services to provide and install the new system.
