I purchased 4 new Hankook tires from Milam. After a few months the tires were splitting on the inside. I took them back to Milam and of course they said they had never seen anything like that. It took them 6 months to get a prorated refund from the Hankook dealer. This was because the man behind the counter didn't follow up. We then got 4 more new tires (Michelens) and about 2 months later, the tire blew out when I was driving down I-10 at 65 MPH. It took about 3/4 of a mile for me to get over and stop because of traffic. When I took the tire to Mr. Milam, he insisted that I had run over something and I told him what he had happened and how it took me awhile to get over in all that Houston traffic. He agreed then, that I had not hit anything. However, he was not willing to give me any discount on a new tire. I had to pay full price for another tire. My husband visited with him and told him that our company has 30 vehicles and pieces of equipment on the road and we would like to be able to do business locally, but he was going to have to "make this right." Mr. Milam said, "I'll make it right next time." and my husband said, "No, make it right this time." Mr Milam did not want to work with us. We were forced to go elsewhere and will not shop there for our tire needs. It's sad that the local businesses won't allow a person to "shop locally."
