Wes came out and found a melted switch for the compressor unit . Replaced with new part

I have had this provider to my home 3-4 times. Each visit is a minimum of $150, weather or not anything is done. The first visit, he told me nothing was wrong and charged $150. Second visit, maybe a thermostat and $150. Next visit... The unit needed to be replaced $2800. After that, squirrel cage and he initially quoted $500, but after I told him that I had already priced the part and researched the estimated time to complete the repair he quickly changed his story.he ended up charging $150. FYI, I found the part online for $55 shipping included and it was a 20 minute or less job. My ac has never work right since he's been here. After installing the new unit, it freezes over and cant keep up. I told of the issue and he told me to check if it was draining right. I did that and I cleaned the coils. He also said that if we have to replace the blower unit it would cost another $2500. Needless to say, I've spent all this money on an ac system that I can't really use and I'm terrified to call someone to look at it. Bottom line, I don't recommend this guy. I feel like he ripped me off every chance he had and did it with a smile.
