I hired Tom on October 10th to complete several small woodworking projects in my home (building 2 custom pieces for the laundry room and framing several mirrors).  I met with him twice prior to submitting his requested "deposit" on October 10th in the amount of $225.  He cashed it the next day and I have never seen him since.  We had scheduled four appoitments over 3 weeks to deliver/install the projects and he has missed each appointment with a different crappy excuse.

I noted after the first missed appointment that I had researched him further and found several TERRIBLE reviews like the previous posters.  He assured me that he would complete my project.  HA! 

This guy is totally untrustworthy, unreliable and unprofessional.  His BBB membership was revoked on August 8, 2011 for not responding to customer complaints.  He has been sued in small claims court on multiple occasions.  I have reported him to all surrounding Chambers of Commerce as a person NOT to do business with and also the Frisco Police Department for not having a solicitor's license. 

He gives a TERRIBLE name to all contractor's out there.  I can't believe I fell for his lies, but will certainly not make the mistake with anyone ever again.

Tom took our money and we have nothing. He never completed the job. We were told 3 weeks to complete and install the project and it has been a year and nothing. We have taken him to small claims court and won but he has not paid back the money due to us. We have given him many opportunities to fulfill his obligation. Many!!! I wouldn't trust Tom with my fish let alone building something for me.

When I called 5 weeks after giving Tom my deposit I was told he was waiting on hardware but the cabinet was finished. I called again in 2 weeks and he said he would be here on Friday to install it. He didn't even bother to call - he just didn't show up. I gave him an ultimatum and he came to install it on the date I demanded. However, it was the shoddiest work I've ever seen. The wood was dinged, the holes for adjustable shelves weren't straight vertically and didn't line up horizontally, there were nails sticking out, screws in the wrong places, shelves that were already warping. The paint was sprayed on (it looked like primer only) -the spray marks were visible, the the underside of the top of the cabinet wasn't painted at all. He offered to fix it but there was so much wrong with it that he would have had to start over. I had no reason to believe that he would have done any better the second time so I declined. I didn't get any of my deposit back.

I had my heart set on a changing table from a popular national chain, but could not afford it. We called Tom's Custom Woodworking & he custom built the changing table to my exact specifications. We received the table in a very timely manner & he had painted & installed all drawer pulls. The quality of this peice of furniture is very durable & I know will last us generations. We will definitely use them again for all our future wood working needs.
