Great, I thought we needed to replace a door knob and have it keyed but it turned out the tech was able to take it apart, clean it and fixed the problem.

Brilliant!- from initial response to the final execution.

They could match the door key but not the ignition, even though they were the same key, so the locksmith said they would have to drill out the ignition and replace it.  The ignition has been sticky since, and after a few months it wouldn't work any more.  When I looked under the steering column, they had broken the ignition housing when they drilled it out, but didn't tell me at the time.  Now I know why he 'gave me a little break on the price", it was out of guilt.  What a lack of integrity!

Things were abit better. They were professional. I would use them again in the future.

Overall went well.  There was some confusion about the guy meeting me at the house, but he showed up on time and it worked out fine.  He wasn't aware of the 10% Angie's List discount that I mentioned when setting up the appointment, but he did give it to me and asked that I fax a copy of the coupon to the office when I could.  Inconvenient, but I get it.  I will say that whoever answers the phone at this business should probably do something else in the office and not talk to anyone.  Not sure how to put it; he just does not have people skills.

They did a fine job. Obviously, they did good work because it works. I thought they were good, I didn’t get too excited about this company but they are competent at what they do and they did a good job. I certainly would recommend them.

My situation was a bit unique as my digital code operated personal safe stopped working.  I contacted the provider late on Friday afternoon and was told they were booked for service calls until Monday.  As they have a storefront operation the provider suggested I bring my small safe to the storefront location and they would see if they could help.  Securitex was able to open my personal safe saving me a long week-end of concern.  
In addition to addressing my immediate need, the providers also generously took time to educate me on the pros/cons of different technologies.  
The guys who helped me were willing to do whatever it took to help me, they were sensitive to my situation and confidently stated they believe they could help.  They offered above and beyond service which deserves to be recognized as it was most certainly appreciated.
The best way to recognize the fantastic service and lend credibility to my review is to say I will certainly use this company for some near-term additional work.

This is great....this is how Angie's List should work.
We had our car broken into, and house key was stolen out of car.  Wife went into crazy paranoid mode.  I looked up locksmiths on Angie's list.  After 2 calls I came to Securitex.  I kid you not, 15 minutes later Sam was at my front door re-keying the house.  The wife was obviously pleased, so my life expectancy lengthened a few more months.
I can not say greater things about the service and promptness.  Thank you Securitex, and thank you too Sam.

It went very well.  The locksmith arrived on time.  I bought an Angie's deal for 3 locks for $99.  I had four locks that needed to be re-keyed, and was fully prepared to pay the difference.  When I mentioned in passing that one of my locks was new, and that no one but me had a key to it, he said if I was willing to use that key as my primary, then he'd only have to re-key three, saving me the cost of a fourth.  Of course, I said yes.  There was a bit of confusion about whether I owed taxes on the $99 coupon, but after a quick call to his office, he learned that answer was no.  I don't recall how long he was here, but not very, an hour at the most.  Should I need further lock assistance, I will call this company.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did not honor the offer because the fine print said it was only good for Addison, which is a suburb inside of Dallas. The service itself was fine and I did use the service. He arrived on time and did the job quickly.

I was able to find this company through searching on angie's list. When I called and booked this company, the guy at their office asked how many doors needed to be rekeyed, I told him six. Come to find out, there were actually fifteen locks that needed to be rekeyed as there were multiple locks on each door. The tech that arrived was very professional and responsive. Did a great job with explaining the job and what needed to be done in replacing the locking mechanisms. I had one lose lock that was originally installed incorrectly, which took him a little longer than usual to rekey. He completed this task and kept a positive, professional attitude the entire time. I attempted to tip the tech for the excellent service, but he respectfully declined! Great job Securitex! I will definitely be using their services in the future if needed!

After service was done, and he wrote up ticket charging for a $65 service call, plus the parts needed.  Would not honor the coupon we bought via Angie's list and we have to try to get our money back from Angie's list.  My old key will not work in the new lock, even though he re-keyed to match the current lock.  So he gave me 4 new keys that fit my other locks as well, but now I need to get rid of old keys as they won't work on this new door, and get enough for the family.  The ad on Angie's list is misleading not only for the service areas listed in small print - yet they sell it to you when you don't live in that area, but also, as it is for residential service - which is normally a $65 service call, the coupon is listed as a $75 value.  Very upsetting.  Angie's List is supposed to make things easier, but this was overall an upsetting experience.  In addition they said they would be here first thing in the morning, and didn't call that they were on their way until 8:45, that they were 1/2 hour out.

They came out and cut a lock on my gate. I had bought a big deal but they didnt service my area, and wouldn't honor that, so they had to charge me full price. I thought it was overpriced. They were really nice.
