This company replaced our roof after a damaging hail storm. I wish I could recommend them, but because of their lack of communications (between their staff and with their customers) and bad business practices, I cannot. We were told our new roof would look like our old one, which was gray. Instead they installed brown shingles! After many complaints from us through phone calls, messages, and emails to which they didn't respond, finally the owner agreed to give us a new roof in the correct color but without the upgraded shingles that they had used. My husband wanted the upgrade and they agreed on the price for that. Several days later we were notified that we needed to pay almost double that amount before they could start work. My husband explained that was not the agreed-upon amount so they came back with another number that wasn't as high but still not the amount that had been agreed on. So they are dragging their feet ... and I'm not sure I want them touching my roof. BEWARE!!

Update: Adam from Renown Roofing and Construction had a free for all giving our possessions away. Furniture clothing medicine trinkets son's West Point memorabilia and who knows what. All that know or care about us: Kenny and Andy went to the old house for the final move out. (Legally we had until 11:59 on 11/11/22.) On arrival they discovered Adam from Renown Roofing and Construction stole all of our remaining possessions. Antiques, clothing legal documents and family heirlooms, tools, etc. Our adult son Andy lost everything he owned. All clothes and possessions to include furniture bike, auto parts, tools, a lifetime of possessions . He can't even change clothes to wash them Adam from Renown Roofing and Construction has deprived us of our belongings that are valued at thousands of dollars and some that are priceless. Police report filed attorney notified. Kenny and Andy watched the trash truck haul away our belongings and crush Kenny's dads guitars. Legal filings coming

We had an excellent experience with Renown. Fast responses, excellent service, and they fought with our insurance company for what was truly needed. My only regret was not letting them handle the insurance company conversations from the beginning, rather than dealing with trying to coordinate myself. Once they took over direct communication everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Renown Roofing and Construction.

As with other similarly situated homeowners in North Texas, the hail storm in early June of 2018 damaged our roof and required full replacement. We heard every horror story about contractors and fly by night roofing companies that promised results, were paid and then disappeared, and were cautioned by our insurance agent about how important it was to be careful on more than one occasion, and that contractor selection and vetting was of the utmost importance because of the inordinate number of shady ones. My husband and I presented Renown Construction with a formidable challenge, as he was a general contractor in New York and I am a seasoned customer experience professional. We would highly recommend Renown because of a number of critical factors which most importantly include the integrity of the company, as well as the quality of the workmanship. Our salesperson, Kevin Bryant, fully recognizing the headwinds of skepticism and our overabundance of caution, went above and beyond at every measure to ensure that Renown would build the necessary trust that would be required to satisfactorily complete the job. He was always on time for all of the numerous meetings we requested. He always acted with honesty and integrity. He also met every challenge we presented – he ensured that we met our project manager before any work commenced and that he was aware of our high expectations. Pictures and homeowner testimonials were sent on request. Every measure was taken to ensure that we were fully comfortable with the work that was going to be completed before we scheduled an installation date. At the end of the day, the true measure of construction project is how the end product stands up against the promises that sold the job in the first place. We experienced a remarkable installation. I have a heavily landscaped property, and care and attention was taken to not only remove every single shred of the roofing material that was used, but also to ensure that not one decorative shrub was harmed in the process. Following completion, our roof was not only aesthetically pleasing, but when the manufacturer came out to validate our warranty, he commented at the structural integrity of the application of the materials. I am very pleased to report that Renown not only exceeded my expectations, but earned my trust and respect.

The entire team of Renown Construction did an outstanding job on my roof project. Kevin Bryant is very exceptional. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He helped me a great deal in understanding and maximizing my insurance coverage, as well as following the claim throughout the process. He dealt with issues promptly, kept me informed through the project, and just overall making sure that I was completely satisfied. The workmanship was top notch. I have recommended Renown Construction to my friend and they were completely satisfied too. I can't stress how easy to work with him and his entire team. They are all very friendly and courteous. I will definitely use them in the future.

It took three trips from the city inspection office to pass the roof. It should have passed on the first inspection, but it did not and the city told me to air out my garage until it was fixed due to possible carbon monoxide accumulation. There was also another problem about required air vent clearance - three instances requiring making appointments and spending three afternoons waiting for a city inspector. Also, the contractor's crew removed my high dollar pre-existing squirrel-and-rodent screens from the roof and did not replace them after completion of the roof without me having to schedule yet another appointment. One of the roofers, Phillip, told me to put my $10K+ check under the mat in the backyard. !!! The all only-Spanish-speaking crew was a contract crew and included one female. Not passing inspection twice concerned me. Bilingual in Spanish, I was able to ascertain that several crew members had no documentation and some received a pittance for wages. Erika Girard, one of the Renown office clerks, emailed my insurance provider that she spoke to me about the error in the final invoice when she actually had not – until I read that email to my insurance company I had never even heard of her. She said she left me a voice message and that I had not returned her call – totally false. My primary communication was with the salesman, James Mangum, who was very professional. No, I do not recommend them.

We were in the process of getting our home ready for sale. After the hailstorms over the last few month (Spring 2017) Renown Roofing was recommended to us by a trusted friend. Just about everyone we have worked with there has treated us like family and has taken great care of us. During the process, we ran into some unexpected problems but Renown really came through and went above and beyond what was expected. Their services and product are topnotch. Even after our roof work was complete we have been able to call on them and their services to address concerns that turned up during the selling process. They still continue to do what is needed to be done and help out to make things happen for our sale. We have already and will continue to praise Renown and absolutely recommend them.

I am a repeat client of Renown. I had my roof replaced in October of 2016. Unfortunately the storm in March of 2017 destroyed my roof again! Ugh. And I contracted with Renown for my second roofing repair. Now I need to add that during the first roofing project there were some mis-steps (due to a former employee). However, Renown took ownership and resolved all of the issues way beyond my expectation. They were awesome! Erika stayed in contact with me daily. I worked with Phillip who was the project manager and he was outstanding as well. I even received a call from the owner of Renown to ensure that everything met my satisfaction. They gave me "white glove service." I have to add that my next door neighbor who is also having his roof replaced, remarked that I had a great crew (clean up was great!) and they completed my roof in one day. Everything was excellent! The customer service, responsiveness and follow up that I received from Erika and the whole Renown team was outstanding.

Renown took out the guess work and walked us through every step. They were generous with information and answered all of our questions. Renown personnel were thorough in managing our expectations, and their performance was above-board. Early on, I had a choice and was pleased that I went with renown. While the crew was working o my home, I was able to observe the company I almost hired work on a neighbor's home across the street. The other company's contractors were loud, disrespectful and unprofessional. I was very grateful it was the renown crew I had allowed into my home. In the end Renown kept their word and cost was exactly what they promised... well... actually it was $50 less they they had estimated. Not only would I re-hire renown, I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who is in need for any roofing, repair or renovation project.

As a recent first-time homebuyer, there is still quite a bit I have to learn about maintaining a home. Getting hit with two record-setting hailstorms in 2016 (Wylie, TX) meant I was getting inundated with contacts from different roofing companies seemingly everyday. I wasn't sure of what to do and was praying to find a company that was trustworthy, reliable and honest. Thankfully, I was referred by very good friends to Adam B. and his company, Renown Roofing and Construction. My friends had worked with Adam in the past for their roofing needs and reassured me that he would take good care of me and my home. I called Adam and he came out to my home the very next day to climb up on my roof and perform a full evaluation. He explained the extent of the damage, was super patient in answering my questions, said what repairs needed to be done quickly and what could wait if I needed to. Also, he was great about coming out again to meet with my insurance adjuster and fought on my behalf. When it came time to repair my roof, Philip (my roof project manager with Renown), was great about communicating the timing of what they would do - they started one afternoon and finished the next afternoon. They were great about cleaning up afterwards and best of all, they did a superb job in repairing/installing my roof. You will find no better company than Renown Roofing and Construction - I can't recommend them highly enough!!

From the initial consultation in our home through to the final touch ups, they were extremely professional and did everything they could to make the process as simple as possible. The Renown employee was there at each of the properties when the insurance adjuster visited and I firmly believe made an impact on the thoroughness of the adjuster's review, and as a result, our settlement. When we received the estimates from the adjusters, Renown followed up and called each of them to ensure that everything was properly covered, paperwork done, etc. In one case, the adjuster had made a material mistake which we would not have spotted. The Renown team found the error, contacted the insurance adjuster, and as a result significantly increased the settlement. I would highly recommend them.

We are very happy with the end results.Our insurance company kept denying the claim despite the evident hail damage. Adam took care of all the insurance claims/paper work and ensured it got approved.Once the claim was approved, the roof was replaced in a day and half including cleaning all debris.He also fixed an internal ceiling water damage at no cost.I have recommended Adam to our friends and neighbors and will hirehim and his crew anytime for any construction job as I know he will do a fine job. Thank you for a well done job, the end results are fantastic.
