We will be using then again in the future for other areas in the house.
Refinishing was done as scheduled and took 2 days as estimated by Kamal. Final cost was in line with estimate.
However the pull-out drawers were another issue. They were not done at the time of refinishing of the cabinets. Was not told this would be a separate job. After rescheduling a time or two Steve came to install the pull out drawers a couple of weeks later and it was found that the measurements were wrong and the drawers would not fit. New drawers had to be ordered from the manufacturer and would take another two weeks. We were told the order would be expedited to around one week but after one week passed Steve called to say it would be another week. All this time the contents of our bottom cabinets (bowls, trays, platters, etc.) were sitting in boxes in our living room. This ordeal had now stretched into 6 weeks.
Once the drawers arrived, Steve came to install; measurements were not exact but with modification Steve made them fit to our satisfaction. On this trip Steve did not have the correct tools and left the job, due to a prior commitment, about half completed.
He came back a few days later and finished the job - took most of the day with Steve being interrupted continually by calls on his cell (business calls). Steve said he would be back the next day to do touch up work on the cabinets.
A week later we had to call Steve to schedule the touch up work. He scheduled for 8:30 AM, then called the day of the appointment and rescheduled for 10:30, ostensibly due to one of his trucks breaking down.
Overall, the work product is excellent - however organization of the company is in question. Delays, rescheduling of appointments and other interruptions made the overall experience frustrating.
Not sure I would use them again.
Following week someone came with Kamal to measure for cupboard doors. I was preparing some food, which Kamal handled. I was told the job would take 2-3 weeks.
When they came to clean and prepare inside the cupboards , a can of paint was spilt on my brand new laid wooden floor.
Kamal then tried to delay project to 5/18. He wanted to go to sons graduation in Florida. Not acceptable as I also had plans.
4/27 most of cupboard doors installed, but job unfinished. 4/30 I phoned Kamal 3 times to find out what the next steps were to be. Was told Steve would finish the job.
5/4 They came to see what shelving and doors needed to be completed, remeasured. They insisted that job should be paid in full despite my objections. He implied since most of work was done no further work would be completed unless he was paid.
5/19 Job still not finished. Steve called making excuses as to who was at fault. 5/22 Left my husband in hospital to meet Steve at house for another remeasuring job. That was last I heard from anybody.
They always said they would call back straight away and never did. 6/24 Job still unfinished.
There is a missing door and shelving. The doors are made of MDF panel and poplar rails, not the solid door I was told it would be, or like the sample I was shown, and not even the right size for Shaker style. Doors are of differing sizes causing many doors to be improperly aligned. I have more detailed notes and photographic evidence of ill fitted, poorly prepared, damaged doors that were badly repaired and touched up.
In the meantime, we have had to cancel other contractors (painters, tilers etc) because this job has not been completed.
Their workers are very professional and since wood restoration is all they do they are very knowledgeable and appear to be experts in this area. They even added the door pulls to the doors which was really nice as they have the tools and expertise to make each pull line up perfectly on all the doors.
Another reason we went with NHance is their products. I've seen too many kitchen redo's done by painting contractors or general contractors and they looked good at first, but the finish quickly wore off. NHance offers a number of choices of finishes that last significantly longer than what other companies can provide.
We are very pleased with the new look of our kitchen at a fraction of the cost of refacing. I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to redo their kitchen and or bathroom cabinets.
