We found Inside Out through an Angie's List offer for a 3D estimate. When we invited Cesar over to discuss it in detail, we were impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm and decided we'd go with them. This was the first time we were doing any real remodeling to our home, so we appreciated his patience as we asked LOTS of questions.
As the project got going, he had plenty of ideas for us but also was able to really listen to our ideas, concerns, etc. His designer was great at working with us on colors, materials, etc. and the work crew was extremely professional and considerate. We especially appreciated his attention to detail and his readiness to incorporate some of our ideas into the project. He was regularly here checking on progress and keeping things moving. He may have been a bit more expensive than some of our other quotes, but we both felt he was the one we could trust to complete the job within (more or less!) budget and to the standard we were looking for. He alerted us when we needed to look at alternate options to stay within budget. We will definitely use him again!

So far really good, we just have an issue with getting a permit from the city but that was just our city just being rather slow with getting the permit issued but so far so good. The initial demolition that they did went very well. They really kept the dust down to a minimal, the actually totally enclosed the kitchen so nothing really went beyond there so that part has gone very well but as far as the major part of the kitchen being started they haven't even got to that yet because they just approved the permit actually yesterday with the city.

"Guess I need to apologize for staying so busy and not dropping everything I have going on for a 1 project. It wasn't our intention to come across unprofessional the sad thing now a days everyone wants everything yesterday and at a price they want to set .. I am not in this business to compete with other companies, I don't have the slightest idea of what their overhead and profit margins are set to so again when I get a customer that has multiple bids and asking me to meet and beat them..tells me you are price shopping and I loose interest. LOW Price and good contractor don't go together. We sent you a set of numbers on the project you were getting multiple bids on. I remember seeing your rendering before it was sent . Unfortunately we have found that we only can give formal proposals to serious customers. Hope you found the right price for the project you were needing done."

Presentation was missing several design elements we discussed. They could not come close to the budget I told them that they had to hit.

We told you where we could come in on numbers this way you could start tossing them around .. sorry we couldn't meet your budget! but with cost of doing business to keep our doors open it is and will be hard to meet your budget . After a couple of weeks, I received an email with a pdf attachment. The drawing was very generic. A black and white line drawing. It was drawn in perspective so I guess they consider that 3D. I thought I would get something rendered with cabinet choices, colors, etc. And that because it was, 3D I'd be able to move it around to see different views. Rehab shows on TV show something like that to their clients. I expected something similar.
My bad, I guess. Should have asked to see what they've done before. Even what they gave me would have been helpful if it had any measurements or hints of accuracy. They had the hardware on the island storage doors running along the floor. They forgot to add a sink. In other words cut and paste or just leave it out all together or completely wrong.
I was so disappointed.

"Mrs. [member name removed], sorry you feel this way, If I recall correctly we left about 2 messages trying to get a hold of you to check on the design, we can give you a 3d rendering but the first design is sent in hidden line due to the size of the drawing, its quicker this way! It takes 45 mins to an hour for a full rendering design to upload and get emailed to you than in hopes you can open it on your computer. Wish you would have returned our phone calls to have made sure you got what you needed. Guess its easier to grade us than to reach out to us.. Thank you"

Second I delivered what you asked for and more, estimate of the cost of project is not part of the promotional deal. Third you responded on October 15th stating the following, " Thank you for your proposal, I just recieved it and will review all details with better half. I will be in touch with you in the near future to discuss possibilities....[member name removed]" .. If I miss understood the email I apologize but the ball was in your court! CATEGORY IS MASONRY: VERY VERY HAPPY WITH MY NEW PATIO! Showed up on time every day. Left worksite very neat every day. Communication with Owner, Mr. Herrera, was excellent. Would definitely use them again for other home remodeling jobs.

Description of Work:
Inside/Out Home Design completely gutted the master bath, leaving only the cabinets. The remodel involved moving plumbing and building new pony walls to accommodate a much larger shower. The floor and shower were beautifully tiled. A new bathtub, shower glass, rain shower head, faucets, granite countertops and toilet were installed. The walls and ceiling were textured and painted and the old cabinets repainted.

Cesar Herrera was the right person to remodel our 20 year old bathroom. We had a picture from a magazine of a beautiful bathroom and Cesar gave us our version of that picture. We never even had to leave the house to look at samples. Cesar brought samples to us that were exactly perfect for what we wanted.
The project started on the date promised and proceeded like clockwork. The crew arrived promptly every morning and even worked on Saturday when necessary to stay on schedule.
Cesar's work was of the highest quality and attention was paid to every detail. It was a pleasure to have Cesar, his brother, and crew at our home. I can't wait until I can have him back to tackle my 20 year old kitchen.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work, the friendliness and efficiency of the guys, and how fast the work went. I expected a month minimum, however, it took less than three weeks, and we had taken a five day trip in the middle of it, shutting them out from working. Even so, Cesar was very willing to work on our timetable. Cesar was recommended to us when we purchased the cabinets, and although IOHD was not the low bid, I was rightly convinced they were the ones to go with. There was none of the usual contractor BS, any additional work suggested was work I'd suspected would need to be done. I am not a tradesman, however, I am experienced. Quality workmanship, ahead of schedule and very fairly priced. They did their best to keep the construction dust to a minimum, and cleaned up well after construction was complete. Most importantly, I have a very happy wife. We will be having Cesar remodel a bathroom soon, and expect nothing but the same experience. Good guy to work with.

Cesar was prompt when he came to do the estimate. The estimate was very detailed and a bit more than my other estimates but I felt much better about using his services than the others. The workmen always arrived on time. Before demolition they put down paper and plastic to protect my floors from removing the old tile etc. They cleaned up after themselves daily. There was dust and the job took a little longer because he couldn't leave me without any working showers.Cesar always kept my goal in mind and made design suggestions that turned out beautifully. There were a few tiles that needed to reset and he never hesitated to redo work to insure the quality of the end product..Since my existing mdf cabinet doors were painted to cut down on costs he suggested knobs to reduce the wear and tear.I chose tile and he suggested complimentary accent tile. He also did a special design for the master that took it beyond the normal. I am very pleased with all results and believe I will get my investment back when I sell in a few years.

Inside Out Home Desing is a Company I would be first in line to refer! The owner, Cesar Herrera, made me feel like I was his only and must important customer. They not only did an amazing job in remodeling my kitchen but they did it with the upmost prodessionalism. Cesar and his team arrived on time, followed through with the list of objectives he had for the day and left my kitchen and work area clean after a days worth of messy work. They were courteous and took my opinions and concerns seriously. I have found that these are all traits that are hard to find with contractors these days and want to make sure it is known tha the service received from Cesar and his team was exemplary.
