Hot Wand Mobile Services

Based on what I found on their website (EPA compliant and insured), I called Hot Wand Mobile Services for an estimate on cleaning our backyard patio and deck areas as well as our front driveway and walkway. Within an hour, I received a call back from John Havard, the owner. John asked questions to determine the scope of the work to be done and the type of materials to be cleaned. Based on our conversation, John gave me an estimate of $240, which represented his 3 hour minimum charge. He was willing to work with me on scheduling the job and agreed to do it on Father's Day at no additional cost. When John arrived, he had a trailer with two holding tanks. He reviewed the work to be done and reiterated his prior estimate. John explained the process to me in some detail, which included the recapture of water that wasn't absorbed by my landscaping. He was also wore a protective uniform. We were amazed at the real colors of our back yard patio and decking. We had no idea of how dust and tree sap had accumulated over the years. I wish we had taken 'before and after' pictures because the contrast was so great. And the effect on the front walkway and driveway was similar. Also, the work took longer than the estimated three hours to complete. However, John honored his original estimate and did not charge an additional amount. In summary, this was a very cost-effective way to spruce up our house's appearance. John's cleaning equipment is specialized, powerful and expensive -- and he has the experience to use all of it effectively and safely. We will use Hot Wand Mobile Services again. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to refurbish their house's patio/decking/driveway quickly and cost-effectively. This would also be a great way to spruce up a house for sale.
