DFW Premium Shutters

The shutters are excellent in terms of quality, installation, etc. We also loved the fact that are made in Krum TX! We like to support local businesses whenever we can. The only ding I would give is that it fell to me to check on when the shutters would be ready, and when installation would take place. When I called to check, the young woman told me what date they would be installed which was a date they selected without any input from me. Fortunately it worked out but it was a little frustrating. Otherwise, the installers did a great job and I love my shutters. I would definitely hire them again when I'm ready to do more!

Their quote was very competitive and we were able to add more windows upstairs as a result. Their sales staff took time to ensure the shutters matched our existing trim colors and the install team worked long and tirelessly to ensure the install for all windows had a tight fit with all screws recessed and caulked with matching trim color. It went well

Overall I'm pleased.  The shutters look great and they were delivered within the time frame promised.  I was also impressed that when they came out to measure and again to install I was called to let me know they were on the way prior to the appointment time.
The installers removed the existing wood blinds from the windows and stacked them in a pile in one room prior to installing the shutters  I was slightly surprised they didn't haul them off for me or even ask if I wanted them hauled off.  If you think about it many other items you have replaced in your home are hauled off as a normal part of the service such as fence panels, garage doors, mattresses, carpet etc.  I do have to caveat this though as I work from home and was on a conference call when the installers finished and couldn't really speak with them.  Additionally, the installers took down one set of drapes (I think the mounting interfered with installation of the shutters) and again, I was a little surprised they left the drapes on the floor and did not offer to rehang them.
I would definitely work with DFW Premium Shutters again.  The shutters look great and the installation related concerns I mention are of low significance but are the difference between a good experience and an awesome experience.

DFW Premium Shutters did a great job on my plantation shutters! They came out to measure my windows and give me an initial quote. I had another company give me a quote and their cost was almost twice what DFW Premium Shutters quoted me. In addition, the turnaround time on the shutters from DFW Premium Shutters was about half as long as the other company said it would take. The installation was quick and easy and the installers actually arrived early. The shutters are very high quality and exactly what I was expecting. I highly recommend them!!

Perfectly!

We e-mailed DFW Premium Shutters via their website to schedule an appointment to get an estimate for Plantation Shutters for our new home. We received a call back within the hour and scheduled an appointment for the next day. They gave us the name of the person who would be coming to take the measurements and do the estimate. She was right on time. She had samples, pictures, lifetime warranty and color samples to show us to help make our decisions. She measured all the windows, asked us if we had any questions, and then sat at our table and produced a full estimate sheet within 15 minutes. The sheet breaks down each window or group of windows under a different line number so you can will know what each individual shutter/room costs. We were given a timeline of expected production (4-6 weeks), and they were right in that time frame. We paid a deposit of 50% at the time of order, the remainder due on install. During the fabrication process, we called to check on the status of our order and was given an update promptly. When they called to schedule the install, they worked with us on a time that was convenient for us. They informed us how long the install would take so we could make proper arrangements to be there. On the day of the installation, the installers arrived on time and got right to work. They brought in all the shutters and placed them by the windows, which allowed us to view them before they started. Then they got right to work and knocked out the whole thing (install, adjust, caulk and check) in less than the time they had previously told us Their work was very clean and made sure they cleaned up before they left. They then took the time to instruct us in operation, maintainence and care. They were very clear that DFW Premium Shutters stood behind their product, and don't hesitate to call if there was any problem. The installed product is great, quality work and function flawlessly. We are very happy with the whole experience and will and have recommended DFW Premium Shutters to our friends!
