If I could give this company zero stars - I would! We purchased a very expensive new unit back in 2020 along with new ductwork installed too. We have had problems with our unit from get go, including the unit being replaced just 6 months after install. It has been 3 years and in the last 3 years we have had multiple issues. And when I say multiple, it is a service call about 6-8 times per year because the system no longer works. Every time I have a tune - up (2 times every year) there is always some other work and expense that needs to happen with the system. We never have the same teach and each tech seems to find something new. My tech today let me know that I need a system cleaning when some of the cleaning by A#1 Air was done during my Spring Maintenance this year. The tech said that he is required to make suggestions even when there is not a problem. Shame on you A#1 Air. So, today A#1 Air asked for $1300 for a system cleaning - but if I let the system and coils rust a

We have solely used A#1 for years. Our smaller unit was making a noise & our bigger unit stopped working a couple of days ago. The technician that came out last Friday immediately told me that my units need to be replaced. They are 'too old at 10 years AND there is a government mandate happening next year'. I told him that I didn't want to replace them. And, what would the cost be to fix them? He, then, starts his path of belittling my intelligence. He lets me know that IF I just choose to repair them, then I'm wasting my money. I asked again what the cost would be to REPAIR them. He reminds me again of the government mandate. Once again, I asked what needed to be fixed. He goes outside to inspect them. He, then, comes back in to let me know that the motor and a few other parts needed to be replaced on BOTH. To repair each unit, it would be over $4,000. I was shocked. He also let me know that I needed to replace my furnace because it was over 20 years old. I was confused & said that my house isn't even 20 years old & we replaced it in 2012. He continued to belittle me by telling me that my math was off because he just inspected it. Then, he tells me yet again that I need to replace my units as repairing them would be a waste of money. I shared with him that they weren't even the original units with the house & I just don't understand how they are in bad enough shape that they can't just be REPAIRED instead of REPLACED. He, then, encouraged me to go with another company because 'A#1 Air was clearly too expensive for us.' UM. I replied by saying that we had always used them & that we would start by repairing the large unit. He said that he would order the part & let me know when he would be back out. He also shared that it was Friday, so it FOR SURE wouldn't be that afternoon. And, gosh, it's the weekend, so probably not at all until the following week, but he would let me know that afternoon when it would be scheduled. I never heard from him or A#1 Air again. SO, I did just what he advised me to do... I called another company. The smaller unit only needed to have bolts tightened to stop the fan noise and the big unit only needed a motor. And, that company already had the part IN their truck! Wow! What a concept?!? My two units were fully repaired in 30 minutes. He said that they were both in good shape. I paid $759 total including their service call fee. Shame on you, A#1 Air!!!!! I was in a panic for a whole 24 hours over the $4,000 in alleged repairs needed, plus the prospect of my units being in such terrible shape that they needed to be replaced. We will NEVER use this company again, and your poorly trained tech, Nic, was right after all - we DID need to go with a cheaper option.

Well up until this week I would have always given this company a 5 star review but they lost a customer over the weekend. This all started when my drain line for the condensation clogged up. It was tripping the safety switch and killing power to the unit. I got the drain unclogged myself, no big deal, but in talking to another AC tech we came to the conclusion that the safety switch has been installed incorrectly from the onset. Thatâ s why it couldnâ t drain even after I unclogged the line. So I called A1 and told them the problem. They insisted I pay an $89 service call fee to come out and look at the problem, even though Iâ m still under warranty and they created the problem. After two phone calls with an extremely rude and unhelpful guy named Lorenzo I get someone else on the phone who promptly and happily waived the service call fee. When the tech, who was very nice and helpful, came out he said the problem was the drain line was clogged. I agreed and let him know I had unclogged the line the day before but because the safety switch was installed (by their techs) incorrectly itâ s unable to drain. He called his manager who said he could not fix the issue without charging me. I have been paying for them to come out twice a year for tune ups since this system was installed and no one ever said anything about this switch being wrong but the first AC guy I called said that itâ s not right. So this is the big problem. They now wonâ t even back up the work they have previously done on the system even when itâ s so blatantly their mistake.

purchased the system in August 2017 and have had it cleaned twice a year since. Every year, twice a year, within 4 to 6 weeks of cleaning, the system breaks down. I have drain pipe damage under my house, and floors have been replaced because of water damage. It has been as low as 35 and as high as 96 inside, and I am currently waiting on another repair part. I am inside with a temperature of 90 and no ETA on the part that was to be in on July 10th after a breakdown on July 6th. I still have the manufacturer warranty until 2027, at which time I will have a 20-ton pile of scrap metal.

They quoted me $500.00 to replace a 22 dollar igniter with one screw. Then told me I needed to replace all the ductwork for $22,000. At that point I paid the service call and asked him to leave.

I signed an agreement with A#1 Solar company to install a solar panel on my house in the third week of August 2020. The representative of the company explained to me it would be completed within three to six weeks. Till today, Dec 20, 2020, the company is not able to finish the job. They do not have the technical skills to perform the job because they applied for the permits to the city, but the city rejected the plan several times because there were technical faults in it. They were also not able to get the permit from HOA so I reached out to HOA and the city requested them to approve the permit. Finally, they got all the approvals and they did a partial job. They install some panels on the roof of my house and said the rest would be installed on the patio later. Till to date, nothing has been done and nobody wants to explain it. Whenever I inquire about it, I am told that we would call you back with the information, but I never get a callback and the job is still unfinished. Their customer service is horrible. I called several times and every time somebody calls me back and listen to my concerns and promise to call me back but unfortunately, I never get a callback. Whenever I inquire about my questions, I get a lame excuse especially from the Manager such as I broke my phone, I called on the wrong no. He does not respond to my messages and does not pick up the phone. I requested the customer service to please get me connected with somebody at the higher post and a responsible person, but nobody listens to my request. The Company does not have enough technical knowledge about the solar panel and does not have trained staff to deal with the clients. I urge that please think several times if you are entering the business with the company. I have a very bad experience with them.

We were pressured into purchasing a full HVAC unit from this company when our old unit died during a record-breaking cold spell. I was told it was not worth fixing my old unit and pressed into buying a much larger and more expensive system than I needed. I was assured this was an excellent deal as it would be more energy-efficient and came with a 16 year no hassle warranty. This turned out to be less than accurate. I was never told I was getting a heat pump system, it does not heat the house effectively leaving me freezing all winter. When I complained I was told that is just how it works. As for my warranty, the system breaks at least once a year, and each time I have to fight to get them to fix it. Several times it has backed up my plumbing, something my old system never did, and which they insist is not covered. They installed a portion of the plumbing that is getting blocked. Their technicians cannot fix this and they force me to utilize their plumber at more than triple what a normal plumber would charge. I would advise anyone to proceed with caution before calling this company.

Air conditioning stopped working and I went to a couple of neighbors here and both of them have used this company before, so I called them and they came to check and he said that the compressor was not working and they gave us a couple of options to proceed, he thought that he could find another compressor but probably will not be new since next year companies will not sell these units anymore because of the cooling system so then he suggested to replace the entire system. The end result was amazing, this ac unit does not make a sound at all. They actually helped the neighbor and it was free of charge, he asked me to listen to that ac unit and he explained what was wrong with it and he suggested me to give them advice so they could fix their ac system too.

Quoted $5000 to replace outside unit. Called another company came and did it same day for $2250. Charged $300 ($30 part) to replace a capacitor but when it did not work he did not charge. save your money and call someone else.

I am not too proud to admit that my own ignorance got me here but this is an experience where others should not have to go through. I am happy to share my experience so that it is hopefully not repeated. First off, my 3-year-old brand new Daikin system is on the fritz. The outside unit is completely dry of freon. I was charged $10,694.00 for a really bad quality Daikin system that only worth at best $6000. I am still currently paying it off (financed through A#1). I asked for them to come and remove everything the A#1 installed and refund the remainder of my loan. I was told they will not do that! This is how big companies take advantage of those who do not know any better. Be smart and do your due diligence so you do not fall prey to the likes of A#1 Air. So wrong and shameful on how they conduct business!

My wife called a well know and advertised electrical company we have used before because our outlet of the garage door opener was "blown" and the garage door therefore wouldn't open with the motor attached. As well I had vanity lights that kept "blowing" a fluorescent tube. This well known company begins with "M". They told us on Sunday the first opening they had was the next Wednesday. We are a physician and nurse. Taking off during the middle of the day is not exactly ideal. We are like dairy farmers. If we don't work, we don't get paid. I remember hearing about how good A #1 Air was supposed to be. I called A#1 Air. They were right on top of it. Now remember, this is Sunday. The technician, Chris, found out the vanity light needed new ballasts. That is the reason the fluorescent tubes keep burning out. The electrical outlet was quickly replaced as well. We didn't have to take off work and the projects were finished quickly. Wow! We won't be using the company "M" who advertises how good they are anymore. It is A #1 Air for all our needs now. Thanks A #1!

get at this had a new lennox system installed last Monday. had to have 4 different service calls for the same issue. issue was when outside got over 90 the a/c wouldn't cool the house down to 74. ac would continually run at 76 for 6 hours until the sun set after 9. Humidity was also rising over 60%.. I guess it depends on who you business
