Spoke to J Garza regarding having a tree cut down. I asked him how much he would charge. He said he would charge $70 plus 'cleaning up the back yard'. He called back later and said he would only charge $50 for the tree and cleaning up the yard. He called me later the next day saying that the backyard was done and he thought I would really like the yard. I said so you got the tree out and everything? He acted confused and like he didnt know what I was referring to. I told him I wanted that tree cut down and he said ok, I assumed we would discuss it when he got the money from me for 'cleaning up the yard'. I got home that afternoon, the yard looked nice. He said he cleaned our alley and cleaned the flower beds out. If that was his idea of cleaning our flower beds and alley, it didnt look like they had even been touched. I called him and waited for him to come by and get his money (I did decide to give him $70 because I felt like the yard did look nice enough and we do have a large yard). He never showed up. He would say he would be at the house to meet me at a certain time and never show up. Days went by and I came home one day and noticed that the large tree in my back yard had been cut down and removed. I also noticed several beer cans in my backyard!! I never got a call before then or even knew that he would be there. I NEVER got an estimate. The man then called me SEVERAL times harassing me saying that he wanted his money - $600!!! He called and called and called. We were able to give him $300 and told him the rest would have to wait. HAD I have known that the job was going to cost this much and HAD he told me BEFOREHAND, I NEVER would have agreed to it!! (There was NEVER anything in writing - he just simply came onto my property and cut the tree down) He even went as far as to going to my husband's place of business!!! Then one of his 'men' had the nerve to make a comment about the money!!! I would advise ANYONE considering using this 'company' - Dont do it!!!
