STEVENS PAVING

I got multiple bids to do this work, and Joe was the cheapest by quite a bit. He said he would be, because his family owns all the equipment, so they don't have to rent anything. I decided to go ahead, and gave him a call. The next morning, he was there with his crew ready to start. He spent a lot of time making sure we had the layout I wanted, and I drove my truck through the future circle drive path a few times. We made some refinements to make easier to navigate the turn in the circle drive, and they started. I asked about running wires or conduit under the circle drive for Christmas lights and such, and he suggested putting a 2" PVC pipe underground, which is big enough to pull extension cords and garden hose through. Great idea! Day one, they graded everything and dug up the old driveway close to the garage, so the driveway could slope properly and not send water rushing at the garage door. Base was laid and packed with a vibrating rollers. Day two, asphalt was applied and rolled in. Results are beautiful! Joe and his team worked fast, were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. I will update later after we have had some time to use the driveway, but I am very pleased with the results and the process.
