While this was going on, I was still being billed for my previous address, even though it was cancelled. I called to discuss this, and they had to send me around to 4 different people before I got to someone who could help. They were very polite (as everyone always is) and said they took care of it. A few months went by and I got a collection notice threatening to send me to collections for failure to pay. I was REALLY unhappy at this point. I decided I was done, and would cancel, since this notice came close in proximity to them having missed their 2nd appointment mentioned above. Had to go through the same phone call issue, except worse, because I wanted a statement saying they realized it was an error and that I would not be sent to collections (in case it ended up happening anyway). It took roughly a week to get this, but in fairness, part of it was because the person I apparently needed to speak with was in some sort of training and out of the office.
Long story short...it's not the same old locally owned and operated group it used to be. It's a national group, and I think they are still getting their stuff together here. When it comes to this type of service, I need to be able to set it and forget it, and it became too much of a hassle to keep dealing with. Without the billing issues, which most people won't have, and assuming they get their scheduling handled, I have no doubt they'd be a great company to work with... I just wasn't going to stick around to see how long that took.

We were very happy with the services performed by this pest control company. We live in a new house in an active construction site so needless to say we've disturbed quite a few critters. The pest controller that came out arrived on time, explained what he thought the best strategy would be to control any pests and efficiently, professionally, and quickly executed the agreed upon plan. From the initial office call to the actual service things could not have been easier or smoother. Although not at all pressured, we signed a quarterly contract for a year at what we considered a fair and reasonable price.
We have a contract with Mayday for quarterly services. When unusual things come up, like these bees, Mayday comes out very quickly. Today, since the situation was different than we originally thought, Brad did not charge me anything. This has happened before. Several times we have needed Mayday to come out between the regular service, because we had problems with wasps. They never charge us an extra fee when they come out to take care of the wasps.
I would recommend Mayday to anyone!!
Two weeks later, we have found a couple of dead roaches in the kitchen and bath, and no ants anywhere. Mission accomplished.

Previously, we had (foolishly) switched to using a different provider for cost reasons, but with the other provider we had always gotten a different young college kid every time, and it seemed like they didn't have much knowledge of the trade...they were just there to put down the chemicals they were told to until they could get their degree and start their "real" job.
With Mayday, we would consistently get the same one or two folks coming out who were obviously doing it for a living and really knew the nuances of different issues and what kind of infestations had been happening locally.

We could not be more pleased with the service provided by this company. We have been a customer for some time and do not plan to change providers. Keep up the great customer service.
We've still had the occasional scorpion show up inside, and the fire ants in the yard seem to migrate around to other spots in the yard rather than being wiped out. It's hard to tell how effective the treatments have been since our level of pest incidents was low before this, but there is some level of mental comfort that there is 'protection' from stepping on a scorpion on the floor in the middle of the night, so that's a plus!
They've always been very courteous and friendly and have never tried to use scare or pressure tactics to sell additional services.
