Description of Work: Dwayne was a nice guy and did mostly good work. I tried to have a very specific and detailed list of what was to be done. I realized, after paying him, that there were a couple of things he agreed to, but did not do - but it is my fault for not reviewing things more closely. Why do I give him an F? We have had to have him come back 2-3 times because the roof to the porch he built has leaked. This last time I have called him numerous times and sent numerous emails, even threatening legal action, and he has not gotten back to me in several weeks. There are almost always going to be problems that were unforeseen and I personally want someone that will stand behind their work. Apparently Dwayne Marek of Marek's Remodeling won't stand by his work.

Description of Work: They enclosed my patio with a wood rail and installed a pergola and tiled the entire patio.

home remodeling
+ -1 morepant all over the carpet, trim,furnitureand bed cover .incompleted work and painting on walls and ceilings .. Mark got he check (witch we should not has done )and said he would be back to fix all work . Marek did come back the follow saturday and said he would repaint the ceiling with the right paint but itwould cost more to redo his mess up work on the ceiling. the tile work is so bad and cracking we are think about pull it all out .
Description of Work: contract was to remove pop-corn texture for the ceiling in the master bedroom, the dressing area, and the bathroom. Remove wallpaper in the bathroom and the dressing for textureing-- also tile tub enclosure and bathroom and front dressing area floor. During the next four days we were not happy with the finish of the ceiling and the wall texture, in fact Marek redid the wallls in the bathroom .the ceiling texture was not done evenly. We asked if he would accept this quality of work in his own personal home and he reponded "NO". The shower tile work was done unevenly, and the grout line is cracking, the tile bar end piece fell off the wall and the recess for shampoo containers cut unevenly. We had a second contractor to scrape, prime, texture and paint the ceilings that we paid marek to do in the first place. We tried to contact marek by phone and e-mail with no success. We contacted Better Business Bureau and marek and his helper / tile setter reponse was we were happy with his work . Marek said at the signing of the contractor he would not leave unless we were totaly happy with the remodel and we took him as a man of his word. Now we are out $2,400.00 to marek and $900.00 to the second contractor .
