Ford Service Co.

I met David Ford when he and his crew were replacing the fence of my next door neighbor.  We chatted a few times while his crew took down the old fence, knocked out the old fence posts, and hauled off the old material.  Construction involved enlarging the old post holes so new posts could be set in concrete, setting the posts, nailing up the stringers to hold the pickets, and nailing the pickets in place.  I was interested in the process because my fence was the same age as my neighbors and I knew we would need to replace it soon.  David explained the process and answered my questions as we watched.  I asked him for a card, and when my wife observed the difference between the new fence and our old fence, I gave him a call.
The Ford Service crew had two fences to replace in my neighborhood on the same day, so the crew split their time between the two locations- an arrangement we had agreed on beforehand.  The deconstruction and construction went exactly as I had observed.  4x4 pressure-treated posts were set in concrete, connected by 2x4 cedar stringers, and 1x4 cedar pickets nailed to the stringers.  The crew cleaned up all the old material, and dirt and rocks that had been dug up.  I am impressed with the speed and competence of the crew and am completely happy with my new fence.
