DTC did the work. I have a regular contract so I had already paid for the last service. I think the contract is 149 dollars a year. What stood out the most is that they come promptly, they work throughout the time that they are here. They gave me a card that showed my number so that next year I can see how they are in comparison.

Our A/C unit stopped cooling late Thursday night and by Friday morning we were sweating (August in Texas - no worse time). I called several places, and no one was available till at least the following week until I reached DTC. Their dispatcher was polite, professional and scheduled a tech to come out at 1:00. James arrived, checked everything and discovered that the run capacitor wasn't working. He had one in the truck (didn't have to leave to get one), and had the A/C running again nicely, all in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend DTC to anyone, and they are our go-to guys for any future A/C or heating issues.

It went good. However, one of the workman did not connect the furnace correctly and we slept in a cold house. Thank goodness for electric blankets. They were there the first thing in the morning and made it right.







This is no reflection on DTC - but we purchased a "green" type air conditioner (Trane). DTC has had to replace all the parts of the air conditioner including the compressor! They do not recommend this brand, they prefer the Carrier brand, because you can get parts locally.







This is not about brands. This is about DTC. They have always serviced our ACs and furnaces since 1997 and I recommend them for AC/furnace needs. They will come out immediately in the heat of the summer, especially for clients with health issues and we appreciate them a lot.

I have a long standing issue that I've had with my A/C unit that has been serviced by someone else for over 3 years. I was to the point where I wanted a different service provider to work on it and so I called DTC Air Conditioning and Heating. I talked to Rowdy for a good while about the issues I've had and he gave me his honest opinion and information that is very vauable to me. I ended up not needing him to come service my A/C at this time, but I cannot express how much I appreciate him talking me through everything. I will certainly call them back if I ever need my A/C worked on ever again. Thanks so much!

They were on time and the service and materials cost what they estimated. No Surprises!
Only one negative. The new AC unit leaked water. We discovered it the next day and had someone over within an hour to correct the problem. They also went a little farther in that they cleaned and serviced the other two systems at no additional cost.

I agree with other folks on Angieslist, DTC Air Conditioning folks perform great services.

I asked them to change the filter and I paid $40 for that. They are excellent. The customer service is excellent. Their prices are fair. The owner knows more than anyone else how to deal with problematic air conditioners. There is nothing that went wrong and I will use them in the future.

I made a call to their company and was given a quote over the phone. They were on time and the final bill was exactly what their bid was. No surprises and extra fees or charges. They replaced the coil in the furnace unit and this is October of 2010 and I've had no problems. I would not hesitate to do business with DTC A/C and Heating.

I called at least half a dozen a/c contractors, with very unsatisfactory responses (never returned calls, refusing to do one part of the job or another, unreasonable estimates, unprofessional appearances, etc.), before, I must confess, I reluctantly signed up for Angie's List. But I have to say that this subscription was the best investment I have made in awhile! I immediately found DTC Air Conditioning & Heating, and James Wallace. He was very professional, came out immediately to look at the job, gave us a prompt and reasonable price, answered all our questions, and finished the job in a week (onsite work took two days). He and his team were tidy, polite, fast and efficient, and did extras like cleaning our a/c coils without being asked. When they were delayed on the first day (parts not delivered when expected), he called and kept me informed about their schedule. Between the ducting resizing/replacing, and the zoned system, the house is amazingly more comfortable throughout, without the cold (or hot) spots that we had previously, including the upstairs. We are very pleased with the results.

After having another company come in to evaluate my situation, I called DTC. The other company made an assumption (although valid as it turns out) about the source of my problem, in addition to disregarding my inquiry about warranty coverage. I found DTC through the manufacturer. DTC diligently checked and determined that the evaporator coil remained under warranty which reduced my charge to labor only (cut the cost in half). They performed a proper leak test and showed me the results. They returned as scheduled to perform the replacement. They also suggested that work could be done in order to reduce the noise created by the return air chase being located directly adjacent to my family room. I asked for an estimate, which I deemed fair and had them do this as well. Danny did a super job with this. At one point, he checked to see if he had made a substantial difference. He wasn't satisfied, so he did more work until we both agreed there was a marked improvement. Danny was at the house three times in all and was very professional and polite. He brought Ryan with him to do the final work and they both did a great job. I felt they were honest and respectful at all times. I'm so glad I found them. I would recommend DTC without hesitation.

DTC and Rowdy were excellent from start to finish. They are very knowledgable, answered all my questions and were more than patient with all my questions. As would expected, I had a lot of questions before spending that kind of money. But I felt confident in their ability. they worked with me to accomplish my goals and get y house cool an comfortable before the summer really hit.
