Very honest and trustworthy. They run through alot of checks to find the problem.Mellissa calls to tell you what they had found and gives you a cost for repairs.The mechanics spot check the vehicle to make sure every thing is ok and letyou know if they found anything else that needs attention.I am very happy with their performance.

The A/C was going out on our Mitsubishi Lancer but initially was only going out during the afternoon when it was the hottest. Soon it was not working unless it was in the morning. We took it to Dave's Automotive and the kept it to verify when it was working or not. After detailed surveillance they found out that the compressor would stay on for a little time then go out and just blow hot air. They called me promptly and gave me a price. When it was finished they were prompt to call me. They finished the job in one day after approval from me. The assured me a 1-year warranty on their work. Great customer service.

I would recommend them. I think they are very honest! The work they do is good, if they fix something it doesn’t break again.

Check engine light came on in the early and very cold morning as we were leaving for a week in Houston. It had also done the same thing about 4 weeks earlier (01/08/2010), also on an exceptional cold early morning. The report that came up when Malissa put the computer check on the engine came up PO125 - "closed loop fuel control - insufficient coolant temperature. Since the car was not overheating and running very normally we felt that the "check engine" had been triggered by the unusually cold temperature. Both time she reset the computer on our car so that the "check engine" light wouldn't come on unless there was a problem. Dave did advise us to eventually get the thermostat replaced, which we will do.

They are very good and we have used them for 15 years. They are very fast and reasonable. We get good results. We were hoping they would be a lot cheaper than the dealer, but they were not. We will continue to use them.

I trust them implicitly. We've worked with them and known them for quite some time and they are always fair, honest, quick, and they always handle things for us.

This was the second time I used this service. They are extremely honest, detailed, and punctual. I was referred by my handyman (who is great). Originally I went, because I had received from mechanic that I needed a new air conditioner compressor since I was leaking freon and they could not locate the leak. (This mechanic was called Dave's Imports on Burnet Rd - not to be confused with this mechanic). Dave's Automotive found I had a chip on the top that is supposed to keep the freon gas in and they repaired it at no charge!! They call the customer and tell them what they are doing every step of the way. The prices are normal for labor, but they don't try and ''sell you'' what you do not need. I find them very thorough, honest, and forthcoming.
