Chris was very professional, thorough and provided excellent, friendly service. His report covered a lot all aspects of the process, and there are many minor observations covered in the report that will help to work on on-going maintenance of the house to give it longevity and prevent future issues with the property. Highly recommend that any prospective buyer takes his services.

Chris was wonderful to work with. He arrived when he said he would with all the cool tools of the trade, plus some! He was conscientious of working around us as we were both home during the inspection, took his time with any questions we had, and delivered a thorough product. He has been super quick to respond to any follow-up questions. Admittedly you can get this inspection done cheaper, but it won't be as thorough (he spent over 6 hours with us) and it won't come with the ongoing support Chris offers. Total bonus - he was amazing with our pets!

I’m so glad that I hired Chris Chitsey of A-PLUS Inspection Services for our one year home warranty inspection! I was very impressed with how thorough, detail-oriented, professional, and knowledgeable Chris was. He went above and beyond, taking great care to conduct an extremely thorough inspection, utilizing technology such as a thermal imaging camera and other devices to make a proper assessment. At the end of his inspection, he took the time to explain to me what he found and why certain things were either great or defective, and what he was looking for. His depth of knowledge as a master board inspector and master degree in civil engineering was on full display, but what was even better was how easily he was able to explain it all to me. He then sent me (that very same night) a 55 page report filled with multiple labeled pictures taken during the inspection and comments fully explaining everything he found. I highly, highly recommend Chris Chitsey if you’re looking for the highest quality inspection for your home, you won’t be disappointed!

Our home buying journey has been rather lengthy. Chris actually inspected 3 homes for us this year. He saved us on 2 homes where the foundation had failed. The 3rd home the foundation was in good condition and the rest of the inspection was done in great detail. Couldn't be happier with the inspection and recommend Chris to anyone that looking to have their home inspected.

Phenomenal! My husband and I were questioning the necessity of an expensive property inspection for brand new construction. Realizing that our house is a huge investment, and that we didn't have the patience or skills to test every electrical outlet or examine the roof, we hired Chris. We'll definitely hire Chris anytime we buy a house, and will encourage friends, family and you to do the same. Chris is a knowledgeable expert. He spent 1.5 days onsite to compile a detailed analysis of our 5060 square foot home. From drainage to electrical systems, roofing, insulation, plumbing, and more, Chris's report is invaluable to us as homeowners. It certainly gives us better insights in to the structural underpinnings, construction methods, and proper care of our new home. Chris identified some minor corrections we've asked the builder to make for things we never would have known to look for - and we're experienced homeowners. Overall, our house passed with flying colors, and still the inspection was worth every penny, plus, plus! I cannot recommend Chris and A-Plus Inspections strongly enough.

I had an excellent experience with Chris Chitsey of A-PLUS Inspection Services, PLLC. He was referred to me by a neighbor and I couldn't be more pleased. Chris arrived on time and spent 5.5 hours at my home inspecting all aspects of the structure inside and out, took pictures and issued his very detailed reports, including an environmental report, within 24 hours of being at my home. He checked the electrical system, every builder installed appliance, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety and carbon dioxide, plus more. I have full confidence in his work and the issues the builder needs to address during my warranty period. It is well worth the very reasonable price I paid.

Chris really did us a great service. We feel very fortunate to have found him. From scheduling the appointment though to the finished inspection report, Chris delivered a extremely high level of responsiveness, friendliness, professionalism and expertise (he is also a structural engineer). The day of our appointment, we met Chris at the house as he was finishing up the inspection. After a few minutes, he gave a very thorough presentation of the work he had done and what he had found. He explained things in detail and then walked us through the house to highlight some of his findings. He was very patient and answered every question we had with enthusiasm, detail and perspective from years of experience. The report that followed was also detailed and very helpful. Buying a house is a big investment, and we feel very fortunate to have found someone with Chris' combination of expertise, detail-orientation and honesty along with the readiness to communicate, explain and answer questions. Chris is FANTASTIC at assessing properties from Top to Bottom!! He gives clear, concise, explanations in ways that both 1st time home-buyers can understand and engineers can commiserate with. He catches EVERYTHING. And that's what you want. He's prompt; very communicative even before you hire him. His reports are impeccable! And he is approachable for clarifications in case you have questions after seeing the written report. If you're a first time home-buyer like my daughter or a seasoned home-buyer like me and her dad, he's worth every penny!!

This is the second time I've hired Chris. First to inspect our home last year during a real estate transaction and just today to provide expert advice on removing 2 small walls in the house. His home inspections are thorough and professional. I remember the price being a little higher than the big companies, but you get what you pay for. I'm still working through the list of issues he identified and they were all spot-on. He didn't miss anything. For the structural inspection today, again beyond expectations. It was a challenging problem to check if one wall was load-bearing because the A/c unit was mounted directly above it in the attic. At first he determined that it was likely load bearing as best he could and gave me the options. I was disappointed but that was what I needed to know. Later, after checking the other wall i asked about, he came back with a new plan to check the first wall. He asked if he could pull up a platform board next to the a/c that was nailed down but had nothing on top. I agreed, and sure enough once he pulled it up he was quickly able to determine that the wall was actually between the joists and not load-bearing. That's why I like him. He doesn't walk away until he figures it out. That double check potentially saved me thousands in bringing in a contractor to install a beam, inspect, etc. I will absolutely call Chris for any future inspections/advice/expert opinion on anything related to the house. Highly recommend! Very thorough inspection and results asap! Chris is very knowledgeable and spends the time to go over all his findings. Also gave us a great recommendation for a sewer scope with Accurate Leak. Both are definite musts when purchasing a new home.

Impressive inspection done, very thorough, and offered recommendations regarding repair options. Buying a home is one of the largest investment and it is especially important to pay for a good inspection so you know what you are getting into. With Chris, he was extremely thorough, spent ample time speaking with us about the findings, and provided a written report, He even offered solutions on repairs. EXCEPTIONAL!! Chris was quick to answer his phone, make the appointment, set the expectations for arrival time and cost of services. He showed up on time, and was very thorough, professional & personable. He gave a very detailed report, including lots of photos and explanations of discovered deficiencies, and he covered more than any of the inspectors we have used previously for home purchases. We had some difficulty understanding some of the terminology in the report, as we do not speak Engineer/Plumbing/Electrical jargon very well. We called Chris the next day, to clarify how serious certain items on the report were. He answered the phone promptly, again, even though he was on another job. He was very polite and assured me that he would look at my report when he got home later that evening and email answers to our questions. At 10:00pm, I had not received an email from him, so I thought that he might have been too tired after his workday to reply, or that maybe he forgot about us, after working another job and having to type their report. But at 10:52pm, his email came through, with all the answers to our questions!!! Now THAT is above and beyond the call of late-night duty!!! When I first called around to hire an inspector, I was reluctant to hire A-Plus Inspections, because they are more expensive than the other guys, but I have to tell you, I would never hire anyone else again. Chris is more knowledgeable, competent, detailed, thorough, kind and professional than any home inspector we have ever hired. And he offered to be available for any further questions we had about our inspection, going forward. Truly a great experience. So glad we went with A-Plus Inspections...worth every penny for the care, guidance and peace of mind Chris gave us! In the end, we were able to use the detailed inspection report to negotiate a more fair price from the seller's, and yes...we got our little house! Thanks to Chris for his exceptional care. I worked with Mr. Chris Chitsey. He was considerably better than my expectations. Despite the fact that he really never gave me any good news. He was a straight shooter and didn't seem to mind explaining things in a way that I could comprehend and use to determine a course of action. Top Notch.

The inspection was very thorough. When completed, Chris explained, in detail, his findings and then emailed me a very detailed report including photos. The cost was higher than some other companies, but they didn't everything that was offered with A-plus. I will definitely hire this company again, the next time I need a home inspected.

My experience with A-Plus Inspection Services was excellent from start to finish and continues because of their follow-up service.  This is a long-time family owned business represented by Chris Chitsey, an engineer with board certification for home inspections, WDI and who knows what else. Chris was the consumate professional who is courteous, knowledgeable and does what he says he will do.
 Chris came well equipped to do the inspection with high tech devices and took his time which resulted in a 5+ hour thorough inspection and a 50 page report afterwards (sent the next morning).  Chris has electronic MLS access to homes so I didn't even have to initally be their or arrange for my realtor to be there.  Chris does prefer to out-brief you on the inspection results in person and he does a great job of translating the engineering into english. They don't advertise much and rely on word of mouth promotion and I can see why that is all that is necessary.  I am helping spread the good word about this business.
  If you want a top-notch inspector and don't mind paying a little extra then hire this business. They are very worthwhile.
