The part was located quickly and the repair was made. I have never had a problem with anyone from Wrays, from the front office to the repairmen. Everyone has been courteous and knowledgeable. I will definitely call them should the need arise!

Meh.  The first guys were great, you could tell they were really experienced and knowledgeable.  They had trouble scheduling the replacement - he even told me he had some new guys on the staff that were taking longer than they were supposed to, which was causing their whole schedule to slip.  Unfortunately, that's who showed up.  And they did take a long time.  The coil was under warranty - which was great, because the labor alone (which wasn't covered) as almost $1000 (there was also 300 for the initial coolant charge). I was ok to pay it - it's hot in that attic after all, man - but i can't say the experience left me with warm fuzzies.  The coupon on Angie's List is a bit misrepresented, as i thought it would be 10% off the whole thing - nope, just 10% off the initial service fee (which was maybe 95 of that initial 300 bucks -> $10).
The kid that installed it said that they were taking a loss on the coil since there was a problem with Maytag and all the coils had problems (um, Wray's installed it with my nice shiny unit a only a couple of years ago).  Not sure what happened when he put more coolant into the system, because now the outside unit shudders loudly every time it starts up.  I am almost afraid to call them back, but I know i should.  I should insist they send me those experienced guys that came first.

Have had some problems getting them to come promptly when seasonal demand is high. Also had problems getting them to stand behind a unit they installed that was subsequently discontinued for poor quality.
That said we continue to use them because we've been generally happy & they have installed & serviced all our equipment.

The  tech came out and looked everything over and listened to what I had to say then proceeded and fixed the problem. John Moore had been called the previous day and wanted to replace the entire system for $11,000.00 dollars. Wrays tech fixed the problem for $300.00. System works fine now and the tech said I could probably get another few years from my system if I maintained it well, so I bought a service plan and they will be out twice a year now to service my unit. An honest and great job.

Except for the amount charged for the service call, not including the cost of the filter, everything went as expected.  However, I should have been informed before the work was done that I would be required to purchase a contract.  Not sure I understand why I couldn't just pay for the service on the 4th.  When a person is retired and on a fixed income, surprises like this can really play havoc with the budget.

Wray's technicians are always well-trained, prompt, courteous and respect the fact that they are in someone's home.  They have always cleaned up after their work and answer all questions without hesitation. We have been happy with over 10 years of (fortunately infrequent) service.

I purchased and A/C heating system from Wray's 10+ years ago. There were issues with the physical size of the system sold to me and the space available for the outside unit which were resolved. I continued to purchase annual service plans for fall/spring system checks and someone from Wray's called to schedule check-ups. Things with Wrays were great until 3-4 years ago when Wray's stopped calling except when my contract was about to expire. They also stopped providing filters with the system checks. Bottom line the contract cost was good, but the value of the contract as executed deteriorated over time. They lost my business in the process.

I had an appointment at 10:30 in the morning but the service tech called about 9:00 and said he was done early with his previous appointment and asked if he could come by early which worked out fine for me.
He did his check and the maintainance on my AC unit.  Everything was fine.  He was very courteous as usual and I will see him when it's time to check my furnace.

The people that lived here before used them. I have a service agreement where they come in the fall and spring for a fixed price. If something happens where I need to call them for a repair I get priority and I get a discount for parts. I had two instances in the summer where the air conditioner broke and it was really hot. I liked them enough that I would recommend them. I haven?t shopped around for prices. They were the first and only people that I called. I think the service agreement is worth it and I could get a 2, 3 or 4 year agreement.

They had originally put in my air conditioning and heating systems. They are prompt and show up when they say they will show up. They don't do unnecessary work. Their prices are a little higher but not unreasonably high. We have been using them for 25 years.

The air conditioner stopped working on Father's day morning (6/21) with a hot forecast (this is Houston afterall). So I looked up Angie's list and started calling the A-rated companies near me. I called Doctor Cool (League City) and they said they could send someone out for $160 (just to come to the house) but that seemed too high. As you would imagine it was difficult to get anyone. I left a message with Bob's in League City and they called me back in about 30min but the tech was booked up with 8 other jobs that day so it wasn't likely he would get to me. They charged $89 for a service call. So I called Wray's and someone answered the phone promptly and took my name & number down for a tech to call me back in 15min. The tech called in 10min, and said he could be out there in an hour. He was at the house in no more than 30min. The tech wore a company uniform, came in a company van and had the necessary tools with him. I explained to him the situation. He immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor. And I mean immediate - he went straight to the electrical panel on the air conditioner unit (outside) opened it up and pointed out the bad capacitor. He gave me the cost for the capacitor ($103.37) before he went to get a new one from his van. As soon as he installed it the air conditioner started running. He also checked the Freon level and found it to be a little low. He told me he would fill it up and not charge me. And that is exactly what he did. He also checked inside the house to make sure the air was cold and it was. The house call cost $110.50 which included diagnosing the problem. As you would expect I was extremely satisfied with Wray's Air Conditioning service. They charge a flat rate for repairs. When I talked to the tech first to get an estimate of the cost, he did tell me that for a weekend call they did charge an overtime flat rate that is approximately 20%-50% more expensive than normal. But in the end, I got the service when I needed it, it was diagnosed and repaired immediately, and the air is working. I was so happy with the repair I forgot to ask him how much that capacitor would cost on a workday. For me the price was worth it, and they also added Freon for which they didn't charge. I am pretty critical (a perfectionist) about how things get repaired and I try to do my research before I hire someone. For me a key differentiator in service providers is how they diagnose a problem and zero in to the solution directly. From that perspective Wray's passed with flying colors. I would recommend them without reservation.

We have had a service contract with this company for two years. I believe the contract cost $180. They installed our air conditioning unit and they even checked our water heater for carbon monoxide. They check everything! We've had them for emergency service in the past as well. They have put in a heater also. They're very reasonable and go out of their way to help you. We have been pleased with the service all the way around.
