TIM JONES INSPECTION SVC

Tim Jones was recommended by my real estate agent, Linda Wolston. She said he had twenty years experience and was the best. I spoke with both Tim Jones and the real estate agent about doing a very detailed job because I was not able to be in Texas at the time of the inspection. I asked Tim Jones and Linda to take their time and to look at everything on the house. They both agreed and Tim reassured me he had twenty years of doing this. He did the inspection, sent a 16 page report to me which included photos. He was pointing out back flow values on the outside faucets, down spouts for the outside, GFCI on some of the electrical plugs. I went over the report with the real estate agent and she said he caught everything. Well when I arrived in Texas and closed on the house, I found things Tim Jones missed, like water damaged wood on the exterior of the house, water damaged on the interior of the house. I am continually finding areas of water damaged on the exterior of the house. He did not mentioned the damaged to garage doors, he did not mention the gap on the exterior upstairs where the corner boards have a space of 3 inches between the board and the brick wall. Water damage has occurred there as well. It seems to me he was looking at the most minor items he could find and mentioned nothing about the items which are costing me thousands of dollars to make the repairs. I called Tim Jones to the house to ask for an explanation as to why he missed those things. He just shrugged his shoulders. I would NOT recommend this guy to inspect anything of value. Very poor job which is costing my thousands of dollars. Lousy quality of work from a person who has over twenty years of experience. DO NOT USE THIS GUY, YOU WILL BE SORRY.
