One man showed up for the job, he and I discussed the task, and he assured me it would be easy to fix the posts that were causing my fence to lean away from my yard. In this discussion I specifically asked if the repairs could be done with out killing my plant in front of the fence. He assured me that my plant would not be harmed, and the fence would be straightened and repaired correctly. He also said he would make a few other minor repairs that needed to be done. There are 11 posts across my backyard. Three were pulled so drastically into my yard, that the support 2x4 across the top of my fence was broken. Some of the pickets were damaged due to his tools, and then left loose with the knowledge that the security of a strong fence was needed for my animal. His tools have been left in my yard even with multipul phone calls requesting the work be completed. The short section of fence (3 posts) that had work done no are longer leaning away from my yard, they now lean into my yard while the rest are still falling the opposite way. We discussed repairs to all posts, not just 3. Also when I put a level on all 11 posts, none of them were level to include the "corrected ones." None of the small repairs that were discussed were made, and the plant I was promised would be fine, was killed. I have made several attempts to contact LDI, and I have spoken to the manager, who promised he would personally come see the work that was completed and "make it right." He has not come out to the house as of 01/19/2017 and is no longer accepting or returning my calls.

To begin with, I called several "fencing" contractors on Angie's List who said that they only replace the ENTIRE fence or "you need to call someone else".  Douglas came out the very next day to look at my fencing problems and provided an estimate on-the-spot.  He is a very eager person and very easy to converse with.  His responses are clear and he delivers precisely what he promises.  I previously had a different contractor replace various sections of my fence over the years, albeit badly, and cheaply.  As is the case with everything in life; you often times get what you pay for.  I thought initially that perhaps Douglas' estimate was a little high but when he was finished I was really very impressed at what a good job he did.  He also cleaned up ALL of the construction materials when he was finished.  Being in a subdivision of Clear Lake, one has to be a bit concerned with the impact a construction project has on one's neighbors with the ultimate goal of not causing problems with the Home Owner's Association.  I received no complains and at no time did I feel there should have been any complaints.  Douglas and his crew were very professional.

The fence replacement fence was completed a few weeks ago.  Fence looks good. Contractor came back and reinforced the gates. Only complaint was they left the water on and the hose dripped for a few days undiscovered.  I think the price was a little higher than our normal landscape vendor, but they were not available and LDI has been working in our neighborhood, so we gave them a try.
Side Note:
I would not recommend LDI for interior refinishing work.  That is not their specialty.  They were going to help us put in a new sink in our half bath.  The job should have entailed taking out the commode, removing the ceramic tile floor, painting the wall behind the commode, gluing our linoleum tile flooring and installing a stand alone sink.  What they did:  removed the commode, partially completed the sink plumbing, and attempted to glue  the linoleum directly to the ceramic tile without any leveling compound.  The cost $500.  Again, I think that price for removing a toilet, cutting a couple of irregular holes in the back of our new sink cabinet, buying 2 wax rings, and PVC parts for the sink was a bit on the high side.  Lesson well learned.
