To begin with, I called several "fencing" contractors on Angie's List who said that they only replace the ENTIRE fence or "you need to call someone else". Douglas came out the very next day to look at my fencing problems and provided an estimate on-the-spot. He is a very eager person and very easy to converse with. His responses are clear and he delivers precisely what he promises. I previously had a different contractor replace various sections of my fence over the years, albeit badly, and cheaply. As is the case with everything in life; you often times get what you pay for. I thought initially that perhaps Douglas' estimate was a little high but when he was finished I was really very impressed at what a good job he did. He also cleaned up ALL of the construction materials when he was finished. Being in a subdivision of Clear Lake, one has to be a bit concerned with the impact a construction project has on one's neighbors with the ultimate goal of not causing problems with the Home Owner's Association. I received no complains and at no time did I feel there should have been any complaints. Douglas and his crew were very professional.
Side Note:
I would not recommend LDI for interior refinishing work. That is not their specialty. They were going to help us put in a new sink in our half bath. The job should have entailed taking out the commode, removing the ceramic tile floor, painting the wall behind the commode, gluing our linoleum tile flooring and installing a stand alone sink. What they did: removed the commode, partially completed the sink plumbing, and attempted to glue the linoleum directly to the ceramic tile without any leveling compound. The cost $500. Again, I think that price for removing a toilet, cutting a couple of irregular holes in the back of our new sink cabinet, buying 2 wax rings, and PVC parts for the sink was a bit on the high side. Lesson well learned.
