Great job. Had to repair 3 cracked pipes and 9 heads. All done within 2 hours. They even had to find and repair a broken wire to one of the stations. These guys will be on my speed dial.

As usual, John and his crew did a great job--very fast, dependable, and reasonably priced.

John and his crew did great. I called them on Thursday, and they said they could be at the house on Friday between 730 and 930 am. At 730 am on Friday, they showed up, right on time. They repaired the visible damage from the tree removal. They, they looked at the rest of the system. They found a few sprinkler heads that were hidden from view/underneath the ground as roots and soil movement had covered them. That explains why I had coverage issues with my lawn. They even found one leaking at the edge of a pool deck we had installed...and repaired it so it worked on the shrubs correctly. These guys are thorough, and excellent overall.

Al and his crew showed up early morning. I was very impressed to see how well everybody worked as a team. They were very professional. The sprinkler system was finished in less than two days. Al taught me how to use the app in order to operate the system. I am very pleased with my new water sprinkler system. Thanks Al for such a great job you guys did on my yard.

Al Peltz owns the company and came out personally to estimate the job. He sent the initial estimate by email, and we had some Q/A back and forth via email. So I had him come out to talk face to face. It was clear from our emails and a previous estimate he'd given me in 2014, that Peltz knew what he was talking about and was going to do a good job. It was also clear that he was using quality parts and methods because they matched what my research said he should be using/doing. I'd gotten two other bids and Peltz was the middle bid, nearer to the high bid than to low one. And when I talked to him this time (2016), he impressed me again and we signed a contract.

At my request, Mr. Peltz deliberately designed the system to make sure the new system would meet my future needs. For example, he laid sprinkler heads all around the foundation so that I could add new beds in places where I don't have them now. He also laid out the lines near the house such that I'd have a minimum of re-work if I decide to install root barrier in the future.

He had a backlog of work and kept me apprised of my expected start date. On the day we agreed upon, he showed up right on time at 7:45 AM with TWO crews and the appropriate permits from the city. He was here with them all day long and they worked hard and fast - they were done with my corner lot by 3 PM. Then he had his service man show me how to use the system, while he stood by to make sure the right things were being covered.

Other things that impressed me on the day of install....

1. During the day, we discussed whether or not I needed root barrier. We walked the trenches, looking for roots the trenches were exposing. We'd agreed on a price for root barrier ahead of time, in the event I needed it. After examining things, Peltz advised me NOT to install any root barrier. (Bear in mind that he stood to make more money if we installed it, so telling me this honestly cost him money. Again, I was impressed with the man.)

2. During the install, he discovered that my water meter was leaking. He called the water department and arranged for them to come fix it that day. I would have expected him to ask me to call, as the homeowner. It got fixed 2 hrs later.

3. During the day, his guys used the wrong wire in one trench. I don't know why it was wrong, but Peltz had them dig it back up and do that part of the job over again.

The day after the install, I came home and started testing/using the new system. I felt like one bed just wasn't getting enough water. So I sent him an email asking what it would cost to add one more head, in front of that bed. (We'd agreed on the layout before he started work, so I expected to pay for an after-the-fact modification.) Anyway, I was expecting to hear $200, because of where the nearest line was. Mr. Peltz responded that he would return THE NEXT AFTERNOON and install the new sprinkler head AT NO CHARGE. When I came home the next day, the job was done, and he'd installed TWO new heads, instead of one, just to make sure the system would do a good job for me. And he did it at no charge, just as he'd told me. I was flabbergasted.

With the rain, I've only run the system a couple times in this first three weeks. But it runs flawlessly, and I know if I need something, this firm is going to take care of me. For example, I asked "What if my knucklehead yard guys knock the head off one of those sprinklers?" His response? "You call me and I'll fix it right away. That's part of your warranty."

Folks, I can't recommend Gulf Coast and Al Peltz highly enough to you. I'm an EXTREMELY particular guy. And I'm totally pleased with the way this job went. I can't think of a single thing that they could have done better for me. I got EVERY DROP of value that I paid for with this company.

Because of severe rain, the installation was delayed a week.  The day of installation, the crew showed up on time.  The sales person/owner? was with the crew and also did part of the work the entire day.  They are very knowledgeable and made suggestions that really made the system more efficient and useable.  I received a CD with photographs of all trenches so they can be located if needed later.  Thus far I am very happy with the system and service and would highly recommend the company to friends and neighbors.

I am very pleased with the work Al Peltz and his crew did.  The job went above and beyond my expectations and everything I wanted was accomplished on time and as guaranteed. All communication was done through email, which some people may object to, but to me having everything in writing reassures me that there will be no "miscommunication" later on.  He started the job at the time he said he would and finished 8 hours laters.  He made especially sure that his crew left no mess and washed all dirt off the driveway and sidewalks.  He worked with the city workers crew to get everything set up on a new meter, helped me get a $325 refund from the city for already having a second tap on my property, and had all necessary permits and performed extra requirements from the city without price changing.  I expected he grass to die where they buried the plumbing, but they saved all grass clippings and replanted over the trenches.  Three weeks later and the grass is thriving.  No dead spots.  Very pleased and I highly recommend.

Love Gulf Coast Sprinklers - I have an older irrigation system that needed some work done to it. John and his crew came out and gave me an estimate. They came out within a week when another job cancelled, brought 9 guys and did all the work in 4.5 hours. My actual price came in $1500.00 less than the estimate because when they actually got into my system, they did not have to do some of the trenching. Other companies would have charged you anyway! They left my yard in great shape. John explained my new system to me and we walked the yard and checked all the stations. They will be installing new landscaping light next.

The technicians went to work immediately upon arriving and worked at a quick pace until they finished the job. They did a fantastic job!

I was very pleased with the service I received from the initial phone call. I had a 7:30-8:30 window and Scott and his crew arrived at 7:40. I showed him the system and explained that no water was coming out of the spinkler heads and the light on the sensor was red all the time and it had previously been green most of the time. Scott explained how the wireless system should work and showed me the problem with the sensor and told me that it needed to be replaced. They checked all of the zones to verify that they were performing properly. One of the zones had two different types of heads that should not be combined because one area required more watering than the other. Scott explained what could be done to correct this issue. He told me that since it had been working okay for my lawn, I could leave it as it was and he would provid me with a quote on the cost if I decided to correct the issue. I would definitely use Gulf Coast Sprinkler Service again and refer them to friends.

Received 3 quotes from different companies, all using similar materials. All were around the same price, Gulf Coast was the only one without a month long wait.
Gulf Coast was very responsive to my questions over email. Once I decided to go with them they scheduled the install the following week and took care of all permits. They provided me a design of the system through email.
On the day of the install they arrived exactly when they said they were going to and quickly installed the system. They did a good job in the front with cutting the grass and placing it back.
For the backyard I didn't have sod installed yet. When I did they came back out to check all of the heads.
They also provided a CD with very detailed pictures of all trenches run for the system.

We were very pleased with the service provided! John came to our house and walked the yard with my husband, noting what was likely to be needed. He returned a few days later with a crew. John stayed, supervising and assisting the crew as they replaced broken heads, replaced and repaired cracked and broken pipes, and fixed some wiring that had been cut. Before they did the actual work, he gave us an estimate, and told us that he'd let us know if for any reason that would change, ie more extensive work required than orignally thought. They were here for a few hours, completing the work as promised, then John gave a demo on how to program the system, and programmed it for us according to our needs.
We have moved recently to the Houston area, and we are very thankful to have found a sprinkler company that we can trust. They did such a good job that our neighbors have now had Gulf Coast do their sprinkler system :)

Very professional installation. On time and crew was supervised by owner. Excellent job! I left for work and when I returned late afternoon, I couldn't tell any work had been done! Very neat and all cleaned up!

Albert Peltz and two crews showed up my home and were able to install the complete system in one day. One of their technical people spent time explaining the programming and settings for the 8 station electronic control. Albert took pictures of the ditching and provide me with a CD of the pictures.
The following day, I called Albert about two minor problems and they sent someone that day to correct the problems. I was very pleased with their knowledge, work habits, and concern for the customer.

I will use them again.

They did a great job. They figured out what needed to be done and they did a good job of it. They also charge by the hour but they work very quickly.

Have used Gulf Coast several times. My outside sprinkler valve was leaking. They replaced with a more high tech, freeze resistant model. John showed me the location of the valve in the ground, and explained how the system worked. He checked the sprinkler heads before he left, and found one that needed to be replaced.
