They showed up in time and when I explained the problem I also mentioned that I had tried pulling the dishwasher out but was not able as they had built the floor and boxed it in and had read that a professional might be able to do something. He took a quick look and said there was nothing he could do, that I would have to rip the floor and then I could call him to fix it. Not more than 10 minutes had passed after he walked-in and charged me $100. The issue is that the next day, before I ripped the floor, I tried following the online recommendations. It took me about 15 minutes to pull it out, once out it was easy to determine the problem that will cost $30 to have shipped home and replaced. I cant believe the lack of professionalism from Birdsong Appliance and Jerry.

The repairman stopped by and broke a relay while checking the freezer. He replaced the relay and said that would fix the freezer. I plugged the freezer in thinking he knew something I didn't. Nope! Several hours later the freezer wasn't working. I called later and was told it would be $600 to replace a compressor under warranty. The freezer only cost $700! I'm not happy with how this transaction went down.

Great job!  Jerry from Birdsong Appliance Repair did a great job.  He was courteous, on time, and very knowledgable.  His office was very courteous and worked with my schedule.  He also completed the job in a timely manner.  Great guy and I would highly recommend Jerry and Birdsong Appliance Repair.

My microwave wouldn't power up. I removed it from the wall myself and changed out the main fuse, but that didn't solve the problem, so I took it to Birdsong. They told me that they didn't typically deal with this type of issue, but said they'd try to get to it. About a week after I dropped it off, I hadn't heard anything, so I called and was told they'd get to it in a few days. After about a week, not having heard anything, I called again and was told they'd get it done the next day. The next day they called and told me they had been able to fix it, and since the repair was simple and they'd taken longer than promised, they did not charge me. 

I was referred to Birdsong Appliance by my warranty company.  My dryer was not starting and was blowing the breaker.  Monty the tech showed up, he did not even take a look at the dryer and said it was my electrical plug.

He did not check to see if the dryer would blow other breakers, he then called my warranty company to tell them it was electrical.  He then left.  I then got an electrician out ant replaced the plug and checked the breakers, the dryer still blew the breaker and also blew other breakers in the house.  It was clearly not the plug or outlet, it was the dryer.  I called them back and they refused to come back out to fix the dryer, I had to call the warranty company to get another company to repair the dryer.  Monty collected the service call fee and did not perform any diagnostics or work on the dryer.  In my opinion he collected and ran.

I got the name of this company from Angies List.  Called Birdsong  on May 10, 2011 with a scheduled appointment for May 11, 2011.   My complaint was I heard running water coming from the fridge.  Turns out I had a busted faucet downstairs.  I decided to keep the appointment because the ice maker was not working.  Monty the tech came out and assessed the problem.  He said it needed a new ice maker and a new twin cooling module.  Parts were ordered and a few weeks later he came and replaced them.  The cooling module definately needed replacing but the ice maker and circuit board did not.  I called again and said the ice maker was not making ice.  Monty came out again to assess the problem.  He did some homework and came out and replaced the water valve in the fridge, the date Aug 1, 2011.  I called again and spoke with Charity.  I told her the ice maker still was not making ice and that I was disappointed at the fact they just threw parts at the fridge without knowing what was really wrong, this is totally unacceptable ( I also told Monty the same thing when he came out the last time to install the water valve).  She told me that there was nothing more they could do because they are not a factory authorized service center for Samsung and could not get the technical support they needed.   She offered to send Monty out again but I told her he said there was nothing more he could do, doesn't have a clue how to fix the problem.  So I spent over $500.00 in parts and labor and the ice maker still doesn't work. 

They seemed to be nice people and eager to help but had I known they had no way to diagnose the problem and weren't factory authorized I wouldn't have used them.

The first time I called them was on a Monday and I left a message around 10 am.  I gave them time to call me back and they didn't return my call that day. I called again on Tuesday morning and left another message. I waited until around 1:30 pm and still nobody had called me back. I called again and a woman answered. She apologized. She took my service order request. She let me know the soonest they could be there was Thursday. She said the service tech would call Thursday morning around 8:15 am to schedule the time. They still hadn’t called at 10:30. I called them again and told them I still hadn’t heard from them. He asked for my address. He told me he couldn’t find my service request. She had forgotten to put my request in the computer and had only jotted it down on her notebook. They then finally sent someone out. I told the technician about the problems I was having. He called the owner of the company and they have me 10% off but it wasn’t worth it for all the trouble. I won’t use them again.

The gentleman came to the door and idendtified himself. We let him in and showed him the washer. When he was done he came out and presented the bill which was exactly the same as what I was told on the phone befroe he came out. Work area was left clean and like we had left it.

They were excellent. They had to clear out some soap and restart it for me. They were very polite, prompt and got here on time. They were good. The guy told me to call him back if anything went wrong. I have no complaints and he did a great job. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Mr. Birdsond and his worker both were very knowledgeable and responsive. Samsung refrigerator has computer circuits. My Samsung was only 3 years old.

I called another repair service to come and install the recall part and also check my dishwasher, as it was not working properly. I was told by him that he could not do the recall work without charging me and that my timer was out and it would be $200 to repair the timer. I called Maytag and they told me I needed to have a Certified Maytag repairman to do the recall work for it to be at no charge. They recommended Birdsong Appliance and recommended I have them do the timer repair also. I paid the other company a $42 service charge. Birdsong came out promptly and did the recall work at no charge and said I did not need a new timer. He said timers in dishwasher seldom go out. He jiggled a little round box in the front left-hand corner and said that sometimes it gets stuck. It has worked fine ever since. As I told him up front that the other repairman had told me I needed to replace the timer, he could have easily replaced it and charged me. My washing machine quit working the morning he came and he was able to check it out and repair it at the same visit.
