A Honesty Roofing

After the initial consultation they forgot to send me the estimate until I requested it. We had discussed adding two new bathroom vents and we were told it wasn't a problem. They were the cheapest bid for the same materials as all the other companies we had spoken with, so we set a date to start the work. On the day of the install no one showed up and I received a call a few hours later stating they didn't have a crew and we rescheduled it for a few days later. Again, no one showed up. We rescheduled it a final time and someone finally came to do the install. The crew that came did a good job with the install but the clean-up with the magnetic sweeper was not great. There were nails, roof tiles, and debris that was not hard to see and was left for us to clean. They completed the job rather late and I noticed the next morning that the bathroom vents had not been cut out like discussed. I called and was told that because I never told them where to put the holes they couldn't do it. I was not aware I was responsible for letting them know where to cut the holes. I was also home all day and no one came to ask me where to cut the holes. They offered to come and cut the holes after they were finished but after taking off three days from work already and the roof was complete I did not want them to tear it up. I got a new roof but I would rather pay more money to have a company that is more responsible and respectful to the customer and their time.

They did a wonderful job. They were quick and neat. Got the whole thing done in one day.

Communication can be a little sketchy, but stick with it. The fence is well built and very good looking. The crew was hard working and efficient. My property was respected and the clean up after the build was excellent.

Vance is superb! He is very experienced, professional and dedicated in diagnosing roof leak problems. I particularly appreciate his honesty and straightforward manner in describing the problem, its potential effect and going through all possible solutions. Among various approaches, he will suggest the most practical and cost-effective method. He will not over-promise on the job results but stating its possible following up solutions. He did come up with a proposal which is hand-writen and honestly priced. Upon accepting the solution, Mark from his team comes the next day and completes the job wonderfully. Quality workmanship. Roofing crew paid attention to their work and it did not appear that they tried to short-cut the work. I watched a few times over three days and they never put in less than 6 nails/shingle. Another sign of quality work is when I saw a new shingle get tossed because of a small tear(probably from handling). Worker could have used the bad shingle and I would never have known. My only complaint is that workers could have done a better job protecting flowers and plants. Vance Boyer addressed the problem with crew.

He comes and gives you a timeline for work. He helped and gave me a name and brand of roof shingle material that I could use when I hired another contractor to replace it. He also gave me recommendations of other companies that can help me with work.

Insurance company required minor shingle repair for renewal. Called and had an appointment scheduled; workers never came. Called again and got rescheduled which got delayed due to weather. Was told they'd call before they came. Showed up unannounced. Worker was extremely professional and friendly, did a great job for a good price. Would definitely recommend if you can deal with slightly flaky communications.

Fantastic! We got Vance's name from a mutual friend and after reviewing the various bids we'd received and doing our due diligence, we settled on A Honesty Roofing. The job lasted a bit longer than originally anticipated because the weather did not always cooperate. However, the crew worked when they could and finished our 2-story roof in a total of four days. They cleaned up as expected and the roof looks great. Vance was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we might have had. We highly recommend A Honesty Roofing to everyone in the area needing roof repairs.

Vance did quality work for leak repairs. He is very reliable and honest in his assessments.

We had a chronic leak in our roof that no one could find. He went up on the roof and found 4 leaks in minutes. The problems were caused by squirrels and he put a special wiring up there to stop the squirrels from getting in. He is very honest. He is focused on the customer. He works in a way that he is not damaging the roof when he has to climb on it. It has been a year now and there have not been any leaks. He fixed what no one else has been able to fix and there have been many that tried.

I am very happy with A Honesty. They did a complete tear off and re-roof on my home. Vance provided a quote with a couple of different options and was patient with my questions. He came out and provided the quote within a couple of days of my call. Once I secured my financing, the job was scheduled within a week. His crew was very professional and the roof looks beautiful. I will be using him again to do some fence work.

Vance is a very knowledable roofer who explained what he thought was the problem after a through inspection of the roof. Mike, the principle roofer, confirmed the problem and cut the shingles tr align/match the existing shingles. Job site was cleaned up and trash hauled away.

Vance and Mike did a great job. Vance is very knowledgeable about his business and takes the time to explain things and answer questions. He recommends a reasonable way to fix a problem rather than the most expensive and then explains his recommendation. I would definitely use his services again.

I strongly recommend Vance and A Honesty Roofing for roof repairs. We had an ongoing leak that other roofing companies could not diagnose or fix the source of the leak. We researched repair oriented companies south of houston and found A Honesty Roofing. Vance did a thorough inspection and you could tell he took a critical eye toward the issue and had the experience to determine the source of the leak. He gave a quote that broke down total cost as well as cost of supplies as needed. He explained scope of work and also explained areas that may cost more depending on condition when they removed the shingles. Overall, I am not a roofer and felt that he explained the terms/process in a way that educated me as a homeowner. Due to the scope of work, he arranged to have repair inspected by Texas Windstorm and passed without any issue from the inspector. The crew was very friendly, clean, and did a quality job. I have waited a few weeks for some rain and can now verify that we have a dry roof.

I found a huge hole in a fascia board high up on the roof which was a rat highway into my attic. After calling various "handymen" who wanted a fortune, I called Vance Boyer of A Honesty Roofing, realizing a roofer had the expertise needed. Vance came the same day and quoted me $345. He also quoted $950 to replace three sides of the chimney with hardie siding and trim. ($1,200 less than a handyman's quote of $2,500!). Vance had the hole fixed in a matter of days (sorry, rats). And the less urgent chimney work was done about one week later. Both jobs were done flawlessly. Vance was a true professional to work with, as was his crew. He takes a personal interest in the quality of his work and customer satisfaction. High quality, low cost, and a great team -- I would recommend them highly.

Vance came out, as scheduled,  and gave me an estimate on my roof leaks. . He even took a photo of the hole in my roof. I had know idea there was a hole that large. I hired him on the spot.  He said he would come back and cover the hole before the rains came and he did. He later returned and fixed all the leaking issues on my roof. I feel the price was very fair for what he did and especially going the extra mile.  Vance is honest and very professional and I would definitely hire him and recommend him to others.
