As in the other review, they used cheap labor with very little supervision. There were no timelines and we would go for days with no work being done. After the kitchen was demolished, we had to move into a hotel (paid for by insurance) and that's when the work really started slowing down. They had their money and didn't seem to care that we were not in our home. I stopped by on a daily basis only to find on many daysthat there had been no work done. When I'd call to ask why, I was told that the person scheduled had a dental appointment or had a sick child or had to be used on a different job. At first, you believe those stories, but after a while, you start to realize that it's just excuses. Like when someone is supposed to show up at 10am, you stop by at 11am and no one is there and you call and you are told that they are stuck in traffic. Stuck in traffic at 11am? At one point they chiseled out a trench torun romex from the wall to the location of our new island to provide power. Instead of hiring an electrician to properly lay the romex, one of their "supervisors" simply laid the romex in the trench and whipped up a batch of concrete and covered. A) He didn't put the romex in conduit B) he mixed the concrete without enough water and it was easy to chip up with a screwdriver C) it wasn't even close to flush with the floor which would have caused a problem when it came time to lay tile and D) he lied about putting the romex inconduit. I told them that he was no longer allowed in my house. I was told we would get a new supervisor, but instead, we got a "handler" because we were apparently becoming"difficult" because we simply expected quality. The cabinet maker, as mentioned in the other review, was fantastic. Finest quality. Too bad he associates with TRI. We went through 3 painters. The first one was probably just some guy they hired off the street. The 2nd one told me more lies in 14 daysthan anyone I've ever metas to why it was taking so long. His (Mexican?) painter told me that the boss wasn't going to pay him and asked if I would pay him. TRI fired the 2nd painter and refused to pay him and the painterfiled a mechanicslien on our house a month after we "fired" TRI. Fortunately we had a letter of indemnity from TRI, but I still had to hire an attorney to get TRI to take care of the lien. TRI had the (2nd) painters try to re-lay some wood flooring and they used cardboard for padding and spackle to try and hold down the trim strips even though we had all the necessary materials in the house. I ended up installing my own dishwasher, vent hood, double oven and microwave and patched a hole in a base cabinet "floor"because they never could manage to get someone to the house. It seemed as if they had given up after we moved back in. The owner kept promising and promising and then when I refused to pay the final invoice, he agreed to come to my house to survey the work. When all was said and done, he ended up knocking almost $15000 off the final price, including refunding me the cost of the installations I had done, a defectivecounter topjoint, work that was estimated but not done, damage done by the 2nd paintersand a full refund on the painting of the kitchen cabinets, which we ended up hiring another painter to do. They had 6 weeks to paint the kitchen cabinets and couldn't do a decent job. The guy we hired, Willie Clark Painting, did it in 6 days. Overall, it seemed that they are fantastic at the up front work and getting you to hire them and dealing with the insurance company, but once they have your money, they really don't seem to care about timelines or quality of work. I would avoid TRI if at all possible. Get them to do your estimate, but get someone else to do the work.

They had a very good cabinet maker, and he was very professional.
Everyone else was cheap labor. The superintendent took short cuts every chance he could, he blew it for the company; I could not trust him.
You can tell that the general manager wanted to do a good job. Rick was good, he had extra work done around the house. Rick really looked after us.
