I drove my vehicle in; I believe they do remote repair, but I live quite close, and it is as easy (perhaps easier) for me to go directly there.  No appointment needed for this type of minor repair.  (Appointment is, methinks, necessary for more extensive work;  they need to get the appropriate parts.)  While they appeared quite busy, my vehicle was immediately taken and the work done.  Was out of there in approximately a half hour.  Only time will tell if the seal "holds," but I have had this procedure done several times by this company, and the chip thereafter has never "run."  I inquired - if the chip should subsequently run, the standard windshield replacement fee would apply, minus the $49 for the initial repair.  Given my previous statement (never happened), this is not of particular concern to me, and I do not find the policy unreasonable.
