The owner of the company (David Anderson) gets the job then under delivers or renegotiates after the contract is signed. He knew we had a tight timeline for closing on the home and getting this project finalized... Knowing this he promised his guys would work weekends and long days to ensure it happened. After we signed and gave the 50% deposit a month or so prior to closing I told David that I would let them know the final date that they could get in and start the job as soon as I knew it. When I called he told me that he could not have his crew out in a 48 hr turn around time and it was a Sunday.. This all falls back to the initial "verbal" agreement while finalizing the contract that his crew would do whatever it takes to meet the deadline. Additionally, when the David does get his crew out and is checking on the job he comes out and says he can do some minor repairs to the granite counter tops and it would cost $300 to $400 dollars as he wasn't worried about making money on this since he was already doing the flooring. Well, as soon as I call him back to get this scheduled after not hearing back for a week or so he immediately renegs on the verbal agreement and says he can't make any money at $300 to $400?? Really after we previously discussed this? Needless to say the granite did not get done. I was out of town once the flooring job was completed and got a call from Shonda demanding payment. I let her know that I would pay her as soon as I got home and was able to inspect the final product. After getting back and being mostly satisfied with the final job I called Shonda and paid the remaining balance over the phone via credit card. I did let her know of a few minor issues that needed to be address but agreed to hold off until business slowed for them to come back out. The issues included; filling one large hole in the wood that pulled when being hand scraped (it is right in a major walkway), replacing a door sweep on a door that was removed during installation, and cleaning up some of doors that the crew got stain from the wood on. This job is nearly a year old and David stopped responding to my calls or texts for him to finalize the last pending issues.. Once he got paid it was on to bigger and better!! I wish I knew how to contract the crew to assist as I am sure this would of been handled as overall the crew was respectful and did a nice job.
Stay away if your value customer service and honesty!!
Andersons Flooring in Lake Dallas had the best price of anyone I talked to . I could not be happier with the work they performed!
