I contacted Homedepot for garage door installation as the old one was reaching end of its life. They send in the contractor from Travis Wilhow Inc to do the job. Initially it seemed that the job was well done but soon flaws started to show up. There was a 1" gap between the garage door and the frame. The contractor came again and fixed the issue. But then he pointed out another issue that there was a gap between one sections from which light was coming in. He proposed that the panel was defective and once replaced the issue will go away. So I agreed and after more than a months wait the panel came. The contractor came again to fix it but after changing the panel the issue became even more prominent and several sections developed gaps. He spent more than an hour to fix it but then in the end finally gave up and told me to deal with Clopay (door manufacturer) myself. I went through a lot of hassle with Clopay, installer and Homedepot for this problem. In the end neither the manufacturer nor the contractor wanted to admit their fault or at least try to replace the door. They offered me a patchwork which i refused (My reason : it's a new door and why should I accept some substandard quality product when i have paid for a new one). A few months after installation the door has become very loud and now I am thinking about replacing it again. I will never recommend Travis Wilhow Inc to anyone. I have attached pictures that I took from inside the garage when the light was turned off. Pictures do not show the issue prominently as they are in reality so I have marked the areas.

Did a great, clean job that was on time and no hiccups. If you wnat it done correct, call Travis. There is no BS at all

The reason I called on Mr. Wilhow is that he was the installer assigned to my job when I bought the doors from The Home Depot. I was completely captivated when I saw him working. He clearly knew every step by heart. There was no guessing, no figuring out: he was very methodical. No wasted moves even down to the loading of old doors and packing materials onto his trailer. Absolute precision.!
I have now sold my home but I would always recommend him to others and call on him if I ever have another garage door installation or service requirement.
