I bought the unit myself because they told me I might could get a better deal because the ones they sell are more expensive. I liked them. They were very good. I am going to be calling them again shortly to do some ductwork to help even out the heating and cooling balance in some of our rooms. They are just going to move a duct or combine some ducts.

great office person and great technician. fit me into schedule to be seen the same day i called during busy summer season. provided me with all of my options and estimates for each option. drew diagrams and explained how my system worked, making it easier to understand my options. did not feel like they were trying to sell me anything. didn't feel like i was being cheated or pressured into making a decision. technician even tolerated my overly friendly dog who does not understand personal space.

Barretts has been out to my house on several occasions and have always been wonderful. This last visit I think I got a new tech. I told him there was a problem in the attic with the blower motor and instead of going into the attic he checked the level of the coolant and said that was the problem. I had to ask him to go into the attic and check the blower motor. After he did, he said that that was the actual problem and replaced the motor. I was disappointed I had to tell him twice. I'm not sure if he didn't want to listen to a woman or was lazy about doing the work. Either way makes me sad because I really like doing business with Barretts.

We got home from the lake at about 5pm and the house was 96 degrees inside. I called and Rex answered he said he had 2 other calls and he would head this way. He showed up about 11:30pm and had us up and running by 12:30am.

The AC went out in the evening and we called another after hours company (not Barrettts) to assess the situation. We were informed that the condensor coil had a hole and that repair was possible but not recommended. The primary reason for recommending replacement instead of repair was the cost of the outdated refrigerant which made up 80% of the $1100 repair estimate. After receiving a quote for repair and replacement ($7000) of the entire system we decided to get a second opinion. I found Barretts on Angies list, called them the next morning and met the technician at the house around noon. After walking the system wih the Barretts technician we both agreed that the system was still in good condition for the age and I was provided with 2 more quotes: Repair ($800) and Replace ($5500). Based on the better pricing and the perceived condition of the unit I decided on the repair. The technician did not have the refrigerant with him so we scheduled the repair for the next day. Similar to the previous day the technician arrived on time. The repair was made and the system refilled with refrigerant in under an hour. Overall the quality, service, punctuality, professionalism and price were all top notch. I will definitely use again.

There were two teams of workers, all very professional and knowledgeable about what the work they were performing. Very tidy and cleaned up after themselves, protecting the floors in the house and ensuring the attic was left tidy.

The job performed was exceptional. They replaced things that I didn't ask for to be replaced such as the drainage piping, thermostats and much more. The work done inside to seal the units was very solid. The entire crew was great and very professional. The work crew was very thorough in their cleanup and all had a positive attitude. We inherited Barrett's from the previous owner as they have replaced the furnaces prior to our owning the house. They provided service over the past 9 years for the 2 air conditioning units that were replaced. At no time in many years have I been displeased with their service and their product. They provide a superior product at a fair price and exceeded any expectations we had. A complete do-over of air conditioning in a two story home performed in a half day. Fantastic.
