+ 0 morerHE was hired to build a shed but never showed up on dates he promised, said he bought supplies that he couldn't and wouldn't provide reciepts for. He didn't build the shed, then said he would return money but then didn't return phone calls, I started looking him up online and found a LONG TRail of dishonestly, 3 mugshots , review after review by people who had been lied to and stolen from by John Vargas. He has listings on Craigslist as Vargas Construction Enterprises to build sheds, storage buildings etc but also goes by JV's Roof Works. Of course he doesn't post his company's name... or his full name... just "John" and a phone number. I should have paid attention to that HUGE red flag! His phone number is listed as 512 576-8000 and also for JVS Roof or JV's Roof or J V Roof Works is 512 736-3977. HE has 3 mugshots online. One for Caldwell County, one for Hays County and one for Travis County. Beware. He is a criminal and has pending lawsuits right now. Do not hire him or you will regret it. Every word out of his mouth is a lie! Truthfully, the more I read about this man, the more afraid I am of him. Please do not hire this man! at least until you talk to the District Attorney of austin and also in Hays county and get a cleared history of him.

He has left people with roofs 1/2 on and damage to all interiors of houses, he has taken money from a disable veteran, single mom of 5.... he is dishonest to the core. + 0 moreI gave them half the money and he did start. He worked for maybe a week or ten days. He then just disappears. He would not call me, he fell off the face of the earth. He finally contacted me after 4 months with apologies. He was on the job for about another week and got a little bit more done. He also said that he would put on a roof for my house to make up for his absence. He did what he said he would do there and got the job done at a fair price. When he completed that, he said he would start on the building again. He ordered parts and I had him come out to look at the building parts in June . He said he needed a special tool. He then told us he needed an additional $2000 to buy the tool. This was the last time I have heard from him in over six months ago.
Description of Work: I had hired them not put up a building for me.
