An incredibly nice businessman, Duke told me that it didn't take long and didn't require acquiring any parts, so he didn't charge me for the service. In this day and time I was amazed to hear that......and very appreciative. His shop most definitely has my business from now on - oil changes, preventive maintenance, repairs...... anything! I have already referred him to one friend who is in need of a car repair and also highly recommend his shop to anyone for their automotive needs.
"Thank you very much for the review and trusting us with your car needs. We do try to be fair and charging for every little thing we do on a car is not always necessary. After all, we are the fortunate ones that you picked us to do the repair. A little kindness can go along way and that is evident by your kind words. Thank you again for choosing Master-Tech Duke Smith - Owner"

They used a plastic welder to fix the areas nibbled by the mouse, and replaced the tubing for the windshield washer. They found the leak in the air conditioning system, repaired it, and changed out the coolant to the currently mandated one.
I am very happy with the results. AC works great, and I can now drive in the rain!
"REMOVE AND REPLACE UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE GASKET WITH VALVE COVER GASKETS AND THERMOSTAT-REMOVE AND REPLACE STEERING RACK, ALIGN VEHICLE,REPLACE INNER AXLE BOOT BAND DRIVERS SIDE-REMOVE AND REPLACE A/C MANIFOLD DISCHARGE HOSE, EVACUATE AND RECHARGE SYSTEM- These repairs were done along with other items that were not charged for. There was alot of rust in various places that made it difficult to remove fastners. Some fastners broke while being removed and we only charged for 1 heli coil and did not add a surcharge for the rust which is something most shops will add for. We called customer and gave the entire estimate before performing any repairs so the customer had the option to compare pricing before authorizing the work. We try to be very competitive and follow the market trends in order to provide our customers with a fair price that coincides with the type of work being performed. There was alot more done to this vehicle than seals and gaskets. It is very important to follow a regular maintenance schedule and I can't stress that enough. Taking care of repairs a little at a time is always better than waiting until the failures all pile up. I have alwys found it easier to spend 2 or 3 hundred in spots than to pay 1900.00 all at once. We got the call from the customer about the No-Start condition 2 weeks later and had the car brought to our shop. The technician had to go through preliminary checks such as...Does it crank, if not then are we getting power to the Ignition Switch, Are we getting a signal from the switch to the starter.....What I am trying to get across here is that there can be many reasons for a car not to start and we have to exhaust each possiblity before calling a customer. The service performed to get this vehicle to start would have cost 80.00 to 100.00 at most places and I charged 1/2 of that. I am truly sorry that the customer feels like he had to pay to much. No one likes to spend their hard earned money. The cost of living as we all know has risen and keeps rising but I have to pay my techs, pay my utilities at the shop and my home, so.... I have to charge something. Yes I charged but not over-charged. Respectfully, Duke Smith- Owner"
