Jay knows his stuff! I needed an annual maintenance check on my AC unit. Given that this summer is going to be another scorcher, I decided to have things checked out. Jay came out to my place, on time, as promised, explained to me the 10 point inspection check and what he was going to do. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything. It only cost me $99, and trust me he went above and beyond most AC repair guys. He basically stated that things look great, continue with your regular maintenance and all should be well. He also gave me some tips on what I can do to keep things efficient in my house, such as changing out my AC filter regularly. I would highly recommend Cool Cat to anyone looking for an AC/Heating repair person. Jay is top notch!

When Jay arrived he inspected my ac/furnace unit in my garage. He showed me how they installed it and where all the vents went to in the house. He said that there were a couple of things that didn't seem up to code to him but because my AC/furnace unit was located in the garage he said it is fine. He told me the unit is great and practically brand new and Carrier is a good brand to have. He went outside to inspect my compressor unit and also said things looks great that this is a 2.5 ton unit that is super efficient and it also looked brand new. He took the housing off of the unit and showed me the coils and how dirty they are. He said you have to be very careful about cleaning these coils because if they bend, it will ruin the compressor over time for having to work harder. He explained, air flow, the emergency shut off switch and the drain tube, (I didn't even know what a drain tube was). He said that it would be good to make sure that this is cleaned out every once in a while because it can clog up and shut down the compressor as a result. He went over the 10 point inspection list which was more like a 20 point inspection as he went above and beyond the listed items. He explained to me what he was doing and why he was doing it! I was impressed! I felt like I got my money's worth and then some!

Jay and crew came to rental property removed the old equipment and replaced with new Goodman a/c and gas heaters.

They were courteous to me and my tenants and cleaned up afterwards. They did the work in a reasonable time frame, gave me a one year
warranty on labor. The Goodman systems have a 10 year warranty on parts.

I did have to give Jay 1/2 of the money for the job upfront. I was leary of this at first, but there was no problem. I did this for each
job. I got a contract stating the deposit and the warranty.
