Steve Silva, owner of AccuCheck Pest Control has been servicing Pest Control needs of the local Kingwood Community, as well as the Greater Houston Area for over 18 years. Steve and wife, Kathy have been Kingwood Residents for over 25 years. AccuCheck Pest Control Specializes in Low Environmental Impact Pest Services, as well as Real Estate Termite Inspections for New Home Buyers.

I understood that there would be an additional charge for the roaches. When I talked with the service provider he told me the charge would be $160.00. I thought that included the extra charge for the german roaches. The technician came to do the job when I realized he was only treating for the german roaches for $160.00. He wasn't treating for the other items listed in the deal. I allowed him to proceed. I had no choice but to go forward since my tenant was moving in within the next 3 days.

Took a revisit to kill ants. His practices did nothing for cockroaches. I understand that he was using Organic products instead of pesticides. Which I can appreciate, but the crap didn't work. Asked my wife when I would be home (husband), put arm around her and made her feel uncomfortable. I would love to call the guy back out to kill the cockroaches, but not at the expense of my wife's comfort.

My wife and I have been dealing with ants and trying to fight them in out own. Short version is we lost and needed professional help, and got in touch with AccuCheck Pest Control since our existing pest control service would come for another week. Steve was quick to work out a time to visit and see what was going on. I think he was a bit shocked at how bad it was, but he went to work and we have not seen an ant since. It's early still, but he has followed up with us to make sure the ants have stayed fine and has said that if we see them to let him know. We will be canceling our old pest control and switching to AccuCheck for our future service. Very professional, polite, prompt, and deadly (to the ants).

I liked that it was a local business and it was personalized service. They had good customer service on the phone and in person. I was running a little bit late on the way home from work and I called them and he was very accommodating so I liked that.

Steve was very thorough in the inspection and professional throughout the process. He identified a key issue for us that helped us negotiate the price with the seller. At the same time we were relieved that he found the issue that was treated per his recommendation. Excellent experience.

We have been using Steve since our first home inspection.  He is incredibly detail oriented and will not compromise anything when it comes to ensuring you get the best service.  He has been outstanding, friendly, and effective!  On our last service I ended up running an hour late from work after forgetting about the service and Steve opted to stay and make sure the job got done despite my tardiness.  He also refused to charge any extra for the extended hour it took for me to get home and for him to perform the service.  I would recommend him and his business to anyone I knew and look forward to using him in the future!

The appointment was at 2 pm and the provider showed up about 30 minutes late - hence the B for punctuality.  Ironically, if the provider would have given an appointment window (i.e. from 2 to 3 pm) instead of an exact time, he would have been on time and earned an A.  That's why I didn't want to ding the provider too bad on punctuality. 
The provider inspected the exterior and interior of my property for evidence of wood destroying insects and their activity.  He also answered my questions about other small insects we have found in our home and gave tips on things we can do to minimize the chance of further insect intrusion.

Steve showed up right on time. He was recommended to us by Fernando Martinez from Preferred Home Inspections. Steve traveled out of his usual area to service our home. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. We really appreciated that he took the time to educate us about how to maintain our home to prevent termites. He was very thorough and we felt like he offered a fair price for his service, especially considering he drove so far out of his way to work with us! Thanks, Steve!

I contacted Steve on short notice to see if he was available to complete a termite inspection on a home I was purchasing. Steve came out and started the inspection. He took around an hour to complete. Once complete, he walked through the house and showed me all areas and where potential issues could be. He was thorough in his explanation and went over all the paperwork with me. He also mentioned I could contact him during the weekdays if I had any questions in the future. I would recommend and use him again in the future.

I don't have a pest problem at my house, but I was looking for a vendor that is close to my home in Humble to perform preventative pest control service.  I discovered AccuCheck on Angie's List (located in Kingwood) and decided to give them a try.  I was very impressed with the service received.  I've actually been using AccuCheck for 1 year and 3 months.  I just had my 6th pest control service performed.  The service is very thorough and Steve himself is a good friendly person.

I paid approximately 300.00 in advance for four (4) services - to be perfomed quarterly (every three months).  The first service occured at the first of July.  The next scheduled service was to be performed in October, then January, then April.
No show, no contact in October.  Owner claims he tried to reach me several times but the phone numbers provided did not work.  My phone numbers have not changed.  Owner also claimed that he could not find me on switchboard.com - I was able to find my home phone number within seconds of searching that website.  He had my email address, which also had not changed.  Lastly, he knew where I lived - a note could have been left on my door.
Asked for a refund of 75% of the amount I actually paid.  Owner claimed a lesser amount (about $25) - not worth arguing.  Asked him to process the refund.
