Blue Water Irrigation & Landscape

My sprinkler system was not working properly at our lake house. For two and a half weeks I was told they were working on it. I called three different times to find out the status of the repairs and when the job would be completed. They turned my system off till they could get back and do the necessary repairs. I called again today to follow-up with them (because, despite multiple requests for them to call me, I had not heard from them). I was told that my appointment was moved, yet again, to Monday. It's been 100 degrees for two weeks. My grass is burning up. I told them never mind. I'm calling someone else.

We hired Blue Water to replace sprinkler heads and set timer.  They were supposed to show up on a Monday.  They didn't show due to a weather delay.  I talked to office and they assured me that they'd be out the next day- Friday.  They also said they'd call if there'd be anything significant wrong with our system.  We received an invoice for $515 - $85 service charge, $70 in parts, and $360 labor.  We called and emailed for an explanation for the extravagant labor charge.  They did answer the 2nd time we called- which was a week after we left a message. The person that answered took off the $85 that was supposed to be credited for work done. She said they always send out a crew of 2, each of whom charge $90/hour - in effect it's $180/hour for every hour worked. 
We would have eagerly hired them to hire them to regularly work on our yard, but not at this price.
The whole experience dealing with this company was cost prohibitive and trying to reach somebody was difficult and they are hard to communicate with.

Took several phone calls and delays in getting a response. Did not seem to be aware of my being told when work would begin. Delay made me decide not to proceed with the work.

This company does excellent work, when they actually show up.  They finished the front yard two weeks late. However the owner is quite punctual when it comes to collecting payment.  He promised the back yard would be completed by the following Tuesday.  Three weeks, and 4 feeble excuses later, I fired them from the job.  They never showed to finish the project, despite being given an additional 3 weeks to finish.

They never answer the phone when you call.  It's always "leave a message and we'll get back to you".  This bunch does quality work but you cant depend on their schedule. Either business is real real good... or their work dependability leave much room for improvement.
