It went great. We called them out here since we thought we would have to replace the whole roof and he told us that we could if we wanted to and that he would be glad to do it but he could just patch them and it would be a lot cheaper right now. He had somebody out here in the morning and patched it, and it cost me about $400-500 instead of $7,000 for the whole roof. The job was great and you couldn’t even tell the difference they patched in or you couldn’t even tell they had replaced the shingles. They are a little on the high side. I called him and they were out here the same day. They were great and I had no problem with them whatsoever.

The crew arrived a little after 7AM and got right to work. They worked quickly and efficiently and were finished around 2PM. We have a small three bedroom house. A larger house might take longer. They appear to have done an excellent job and took time to clean up any debris in the area. A large magnet was used to collect any roofing nails that could cause problems later.
The price I was originally quoted was exactly what I paid and was considerably lower that other estimates. Barring storm damage, we shouldn't need their services again for a very long time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roofing done.

How did it go? I am stuck with a lesser grade of shingle and short of the newly installed shingles being ripped off and the Oakridge shingles I said I wanted put on, there is no resolution. This is due to errors made by the office staff at Lange Roofing. On May 20, 2014, Dillon Lange inspected the hail-damaged roof of my house and provided an estimate for re-roofing. His figures were $6275.00 for Supreme Owens Corning Shingles and $7545.00 for Oakridge shingle upgrade. On May 21, 2014, I met with Heather at the Lange Roofing office. In the process of finalizing the proposed cost of the re-roofing, some items were added to the estimate, i.e., 3 gas tops at $75.00; 34 pieces of 2x4 edge metal @ 340.00; and correcting and quot;39 sqand quot; shingles to and quot;38 sqand quot;. (The addition of the gas tops and edge metal are in Jaysen Lange's handwriting as he was in the office.) These changes necessitated revising the estimates provided by Dillon from $6275.00 for Supreme to $6545.00; and Oakridge shingle to $7785.00. In the process of recalculating, Heather marked through the figures written originally by Dillon and wrote in $6545.00 for Supreme and $7785.00 for the Oakridge. In fact, she lined through all of the figures written by Dillon and rewrote the new figures going over the $7785.00 several times with ink. I indicated that I wanted the Oakridge shingles at the $7785.00 but would need to clear the cost with my insurance claims representative and would let her know the results. At that time, she said they would need a decision right away as and quot;we've learned the cost of shingles will be increasing in about a weekand quot;. Not wanting to delay, in any case, I spoke with my Hartford insurance claims representative at 9 a.m. on the morning of May 22, 2014 and he advised that the cost of the Oakridge was within the range of their estimate for my claim and gave his okay for the upgrade to the Oakridge shingle. I telephoned Heather within minutes of my conversation with him and advised her that I wanted the Oakridge shingles in the Desert Tan color. She reiterated that I wanted to go with the Oakridge in Desert Tan and I responded in the affirmative. Now at that time, she did tell me that it would probably be late June-early July before the work would be performed. Time passed and I heard nothing so I telephoned approximately mid-July and inquired about a timeframe for the work to be performed. Ah, there had been rain so everything slipped and now I am told late July-mid August. Then it was late August. Again, time passed and I have not been contacted with a date for the work to be performed. I telephoned on the morning of September 15, 2014 and spoke with Crystal advising that I needed a and quot;date certainand quot; as my patience was at an end and if the work couldn't be performed, I would have to contract with another company. She said it would be a and quot;few more weeksand quot; but it was my and quot;choiceand quot; to go with someone else; that they had over 1000 roofs to do and I was number 432 on their list. Coincidentally, at the time she was telling me and quot;a few more weeksand quot; Heather was leaving a voicemail on my cell phone advising that the re-roofing was scheduled for September 17. Not a few more weeks, but a couple of days!!! Contingent, of course, on whether the forecasted rain would occur. I advised Crystal that I could understand a slippage IF it rained but that I was unwilling to continue to wait beyond the first part of the next week, i.e., week of 22-26 Sep. This was the total sum and gist of our conversation. The re-roofing was begun and completed on September 17 as scheduled; no rain delay. It is difficult to find the words to describe my complete incredulity and dismay when I went to their office on September 18 to make payment to learn that the shingles put on were the lesser grade shingle (Supreme) and not the Oakridge shingle. Why? Because Heather and Crystal declared that Crystal had and quot;verifiedand quot; (not according to the dictionary definition of the word!!) in that above referenced Sept 15th phone conversation that Supreme in color Desert Tan was what would be put on my roof AND I agreed. AND, Crystal kept insisting that, anyway, the and quot;Oakridge upgrade ($7545.00)and quot; written by Dillon was marked out on the estimate Well, so was the original and quot;$6275.00and quot; figure written by Dillon marked out!! All of the figures written by Dillon were marked out!! They had to be marked out because both changed when the cost of 3 gas tops and 34 pieces of edge metal and the 39 sq was reduced to 38 were recalculated. However, the $6545.00 and $7785.00 (in heavy black ink) were written in by Heather and THEY WERE NOT MARKED OUT!!! Ideally, Heather should have totally rewritten the complete estimate instead of just and quot;marking outand quot; and writing over what was originally there. Not good business practice to have done what she did which apparently confused her office staff. Heather insisted that Crystal would not have checked (on a piece of paper which was not shown to me so I can't and quot;verifyand quot; validity of such) that she verified the grade of shingle and the color if she had not done so. Again, she DID NOT address the shingle type or color with me! Maybe she was flustered because she had glibly told me and quot;a few more weeksand quot; at the same time her boss, Heather, was leaving me a voicemail that the work was scheduled for a couple days later. Heather's reason for insisting that Crystal did, in fact, verifiy with me is because and quot;I (Heather) have been here 6 years and I train my people well.and quot; Perfect employees? Never make a mistake? I have serious doubts that can be substantiated that her employees never make mistakes. I was a manager of 30-40 employees for years and I can attest to the fact that NO employee is perfect and that employees (and managers) do make mistakes. It is patently obvious that Heather did, herself, make a mistake as she evidently did not make note of my phone call to her on May 22, 2014 advising her that I had contacted my insurance claims representative and he okayed the upgrade to the Oakridge shingle. I selected Lange Roofing because I had used them in June 2001 to replace the roof after it was hail damaged then. I did have several leaks but Jaysen was very prompt to make the necessary repairs and I was confident that I would experience the same level of service again. However, this time it wasn't the contractor's workmanship that has caused the problem, but errors made by his office staff. No, I will not recommend Lange Roofing to anyone and will certainly, if asked, will share the reason for my non-recommendation. To clarify the rating for and quot;professionalismand quot;, this is NOT directed at Jacob or Dillon Lange as both were very professional and are desirous of cultivating good customer relations. I do have a problem with the mistake made in the office of (1) not recording my call indicating I wanted the Oakridge shingle and (2) the insistence of both Crystal and Heather that they do not make mistakes and that the type shingle was verified with me on September 15 during my conversation with Crystal. Didn't happen!! Also neither would concede that the only figures marked out were those written by Dillon and then were overwritten by Heather with the recalculated cost of BOTH the Supreme and the Oakridge plainly visible!! To do so would have meant the customer was right and they were not.

Response from Lange Roofing LLC
"As stated in the response to the BBB review. The oakridge upgrade is clearly marked out on the signed estimate signed by the customer. She clearly decided to be upset with our company prior to the roof even being installed as per the conversation the staff had with her the week before. The staff clearly verfied her selection via telephone even though it was clearly shown on her signed estimate. If she misunderstood the staff during the conversation we apoligize. She was upset when she called and continued to be more content on the fact she was not going to wait any longer for the roof replacement. She stated this to the staff several times durning the conversation. We installed her roof as it was stated on the signed contract."

Just got my new roof put on from Lange Roofing. As of right now, I love it a whole lot. They did a wonderful job. I had a question about something and one of the workers answered it with no hesitation. I also had a question after the job was done and I called to speak to someone about it, and the the person who answered the phone was very professional and kind. She answered my question very quickly. I highly recommend this company for any roofing needs you may have. The crew that did my roof also did a complete cleanup when the word was finished. You wouldn't even know that they were here. VERY VERY IMPRESSED. Thank you Lange Roofing and your crew for a job well done.

The first question I was asked was "Is this a complaint about us?" I stated "No. I will need your expert opinion on a newly installed roof that has several discrepancies according to my agent." Lange shyed away for over two months while making promises to a free estimate. When I finally got an estimate that had no details with an elevated price to redo my roof. I may not have the exact date of service. My roof was installed in August 2010.

Everything went smoothly. They showed up in the morning, and by 5p.m. everything was done, with cleanup. It didn't even look like anyone had been there. The crew worked well and quickly, and got everything done much more efficiently than we could have imagined.

We got them from Angie's List. Our experience with them was really good. They did a beautiful job. The price was extremely reasonable; we were actually shocked. The quotation for the price of the roof was $2500 for the whole roof to be done. The quote included upgraded shingles with a 10-year warranty. They came out and did the job. They were just really friendly and they got it all done in one day. They did the entire house, didn't leave any trash behind and got the roof up. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Lange Roofing came out the following day - during the mist and the light rain. They were able to isolate the problem within less than an hour and provided me an estimate of between $200 and $300. I called them the same day to tell them to go ahead and do the work. They were back out the same day and had the entire project done in less than an hour. They were all very courteous and were professional from the first conversation to the last conversation. Fabulous people. The final cost was $250.00. No leaks and no worries! Will definately call them again if needed.
