Fresh Touch Painting Contractor

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a service company. It took three appointments to actually have this contractor show up (first appointment - he didn't call until more than an hour after our appointment to say he couldn't make it, second appointment - didn't call for two hours after our appointment time to say he was on his way, third appointment - late again, we were about to leave when he showed up). After this experience, I called him two days prior to the appointment to confirm, he returned my phone call at 9:40PM to say he would call me the morning of the appointment as he was on his way to my house. 10:30am the day of the appointment, I called to see where he was. He said he would be at my house within the hour. Two hours later, his wife called to say he had a "painting emergency" with one of his jobs and would be late. An hour after that, he calls to say he's on his way. Long story short, at 4:00pm, he shows up. First he asks me what he was supposed to do as he couldn't remember what he said he would do (he had written it down at our appointment, so I didn't). Then, he tells me I didn't buy enough paint - he told me 1 to 1.5 gallons of paint. I had almost 2 gallons. He finally finishes painting at 7:30pm, and leaves. He did not leave a mess, but he did an overall bad job. The area that needed painting was a small room that I had painted a dark brown color, a room I could have painted myself, but due to the dark color of the existing paint and the light color of the new paint, I felt it would be best to hire a "professional" to do a good job. I should have just done this myself. Tomorrow, I will be as I have to put another coat on the walls in the bathroom and touch up the bedroom. Note: i found this contractor through a special he ran on our local newspaper website - gift certificates for $80.00 worth of painting for $40.00. I did a google search on the company name before buying the certificates, but didn't come up with anything good or bad, so then I decided to check Angieslist.com, he was not listed here, yet, either. Totally disappointed in the professionalism (none) and the workmanship (poor - paint is drippy on the walls, I don't think he waited any amount of time after the primer and before the paint went up - looking forward to seeing how it looks after a night of drying - NOT!)
