They seemed nice enough when my husband called and did a rental through them last weekend. When my husband dropped it off, he asked if there was any way we could get a better rate, if we decided to rent from them again. He was told to call back Wednesday, so that the clerk could talk to the owner. Wednesday rolled around and they hadn't had a chance to talk to the owner yet. The phone was sat down and when the clerk returned, he told my husband they could do $40 off the daily rate. My husband asked to speak to the owner, but was denied and told that the owner was busy. The clerk suggested he call back the next day after 11. My husband did just that and was told the owner was in meetings. I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and called the company today to see what could be worked out. I asked to speak to the owner and was immediately able to speak to him. He told me he could do $780 for a weekly rate. I asked if that was the best he could do, since another company was able to give me a rate of $700 weekly. He said he would call and verify the price and get back to me. It had been few hours and I still hadn't heard back, so I gave them a call again. As far as the clerk knows, the owner never called to verify the price. I left my information and requested a call back, since the owner wasn't able to speak at the time. I waited a few more hours and still never got a call back. I called again. I was told the owner still hadn't told them anything and that they were still unavailable. He had apparently been in meetings all day. I stated that I was simply needing answers that we had been trying to get answers all week. We would love to give them our business again, but we didn't appreciate being jerked around. I just needed to know if they would be willing to match the price, otherwise I had found another company during the day that could do the weekly rental for $600. The clerk finally stated he didn't think the owner would lower the price $400 (not sure why he stated that price, since it is not a $400 difference between the 2 rates). Without giving me a chance to reply, the clerk hung up on me. He had already done the same thing to my husband earlier in the week. It looks like we will be driving 45 min away to deal with a company that has better customer service for this next rental period.
