Jerry and his crew always do a great job. We've used Jerry for a few years now and he has kept our Redbuds, Chinkapin Oaks, White Maple and Vitex looking fabulous. We've always recommended them to our friends This year, 2021 our home and landscaping suffered from the ice storms but, thankfully, all our trees survived, pretty much intact and we believe this was due mainly to the regular trimming/pruning service we have with Texas Tree Service. We lost a lot of shrubs and cactii and the sad part was that our largest cactii suffered from the freeze. We had a 10 foot Spanish Dagger collapse and the top third of a 9 foot giant cholla snap off. We had Jerry come over to check on our trees and also remove the Spanish Dagger and top 3rd of the Cholla, which had collapsed into the bottom of the plant. They needed a tractor to remove the Spanish Dagger and the crew cleaned up our Redbuds and Vitex and tidied up the Cholla. As always, we are very pleased with the professionalism of the crew and the excellent clean-up.

We had a large stand (20+) of dead and dying live oak trees in our back yard which had become unsightly and hazardous. When we requested a quote to have them removed and the stumps ground, including stumps remaining from a tree clearing prior to our purchase of the property Jerry Eddy, the company owner, quickly traveled to our home and explained in detail what needed to be down and how Texas Tree Service would handle the job. We signed the contract, and the next day a large complement of men and equipment arrived to begin the task. The job was accomplished much more quickly than I would have thought possible and was completed exactly as Mr. Eddy had promised. The clean-up after the job was exceptionally thorough as well. When Mr. Eddy came to collect the final payment for the job I was so pleased that I asked him to look at another stand of live oaks which was in reasonably good condition which I hoped to preserve. After examining the area he told me what should be done and I immediately contracted with him to care for these trees. Again the job was done quickly and professionally. I cannot speak highly enough of Texas Tree Service and the speed and thoroughness with which the tree removal, stump grinding, and clean-up was accomplished, and should I need tree service in the future, Texas Tree Service will be my choice of companies.

Requested a quote from Texas Tree Service to have a couple of trees in my front yard trimmed, via their website, on a Sunday evening. Was contacted first thing on Monday morning. Received the quote Monday afternoon and the work was done that evening! The crew was prompt, efficient and polite. They worked for well over 3 hours on my trees and they look great. They looked so good that 2 or 3 additional homes on my block signed them up to trim their trees as well. Now our street has the nicest looking trees in the area!

I needed them in a hurry to groom up a damaged tree from a house fire and remove a dead tree. They were so fast and cleaned up every cut branch. Best price for what others quoted and they were very courteous. I can't recommend them enough! Texas Tree Service is now my only go to for all my trees that need love!

Approximately 1.5 years ago we moved to the Kerrville area on acreage. We knew the trees were in bad shape with lots of high big dead branches in large oaks, cedars that were mostly dead and dead standing oaks. We called Texas Tree Service for an estimate and Jerry Eddy was out here the same day. Jerry carefully went over the estimate detailing additional fees for haul off and for stump grinding. His vast knowledge, experience and customer service sold us. This was a two day job for him and his hard working team. He and his team are extremely professional and considerate. They did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Jerry Eddy was very knowledgeable. They did the work very quickly. With clean up and removal took about 2-2.5 hours. I will definitely use them again.

Showed up around 9:00 in the morning. Brought 3 crews, 2 lift trucks & a bobcat. They worked the entire day. Took 30 min for lunch and finished around 4:30. It started drizzling around 2:00 but they kept working. Good natured boys. Seemed to like their jobs. They cut limbs at appropriate angles, making sure tree kept its balance & form. Treated all cuts with black spray. The owners first quote was really pricey. We managed to negotiate an agreeable price. I still think it was a little pricey but these boys worked hard and long and did a good job.

It went great called that morning and the job was done by the end of the day.

We recently moved into a house that sits on 5+ acres. The native brush was encroaching on the fence and other trees/plants. Jerry Eddy came to the house, listened to our concerns, pointed out the trees that needed attention, advised us on which plants were “keepers” and which ones should be removed. The next day his crew arrived on time and began working immediately. They were very professional and courteous. After about 7 hours, the property around the house looked like a park - Jerry went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

My house sits on 1/2 acre. My trees were getting overgrown with limbs hanging down low to the ground, and many had dead branches with ugly ball moss growing. Mr. Eddy came and did my estimate the same day I called. He was very knowledgeable, and his prices were fair. His crew arrived within 30 minutes and started work right away. Every member of the crew was efficient and professional. They finished the entire job by noon the next day. They trimmed about ten big trees and spread mulch around my hedges. My trees look great, and my yard is totally clean of all twigs and leaves. I highly recommend Mr. Eddy and his crew to anyone!

I spoke with Jerry Eddy, the owner, one afternoon about the work I needed done. He came out the same day and offered me a very competitive bid. The day of arrival he sent two crews and they swarmed my place like a SWAT team. It was amazing to watch how fast, efficient and professional the team was. Jerry walked my property with me to explain all the work his guys would be completing. They completed every aspect of the job as prescribed and did a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves. I commented to Jerry that everyone on his team was a good worker. I will definitely be using Texas Tree Service for all of my future needs.

They were very professional and they were happy to answer any questions I had. They made sure I was satisfied with their service.

This was by far the biggest mistake we've made when dealing with any property. The owner, Jerry, is pushy and arrogant and interested only in making a quick buck.  After we'd scheduled, we then heard awful things and tried to cancel that first morning - he whined and pushed;  definitely it was my error to give them a chance.. 

We unexpectedly had to go out of town the afternoon his crew was on the property. In the morning, much of the time, most of the crew just stood around talking. When we returned at 5:00 pm, the crew was gone - many of the live oak cuts were left unpainted while other tree cuts were painted, (even tho I was promised nothing but oaks would be painted.)  Smaller tree limbs (1/2" or less in diameter,) were rough cut with chainsaws and pulled off, resulting in ripping bark down the main trunks.

The only reason we upgraded them to a D from an F grade is due to two crew members returning that same evening (unfortunately they were later  than we were told and arrived at almost sunset,) to paint the oaks missed and to fix some of this.  The next morning, (Sunday) we had to go out and still paint oak cuts that they missed - a total of over twenty. It is obvious that the crew does not work in sync with each other trimming and painting simultaneously as they should.

After one full day with a five-man crew, not 1/4 of the work contracted for in a two day job was completed. There is no way that they could have finished by the end of the second day, and I'm afraid we would have, as indicated in another review, been charged more than estimated, (as no contract was signed,)  and TTS would have been back more days to finish what was promised.  In dealing with the owner, I would say he has no respect for a client's property and no idea of what his crew can or cannot do in a day.

When I called the owner the next morning to let him know that we did NOT want them to return, he of course whined, but after talking with my husband, relented. On Monday, two crew members came out to clean up the mess that they left; the owner "did not charge" so we were supposed to feel grateful, I guess.

In the end, we contracted to pay him for just one day - $5500 - a ridiculous amount of money for the amount of work completed.  We'd have felt better if 50% of the work had been accomplished, but we wanted him and his business off the property.  His crew foreman is a good guy;  he and his crew were respectful and very polite, but honestly, only one or two men knew anything about trimming trees.  

Since Texas Tree Service was here, we haven't had one person say anything but that they wished we'd done some asking around first since we are relatively new to the Kerrville area. 

If you have just large stumps  or dead trees to remove, they might be your ticket, but for a complete job to be finished professionally, on time, and as promised, you might want to look around.

The work performed was satisfactory, with my supervision.  
I would insure that a firm written estimate be place prior to starting any work, I did not have that in place and the bill was more than I had anticipated.

They came, they sawed, they left with the debris.  What can i say.  Their equipment was modern.  They were careful not to hit anything dear to me in my back yard.

Things went great. The trees are doing beautifully. This company cleans up the mess they make beautifully. We went in with our neighbor with the cost and it was kind of off-season too. We have really old high trees. They use cherry picker to get up in them. The cost was some kind of deal. We live in a planned community and so they had to deal with strict standards for clean up and they did. They were very fast about getting the job done and everything survived. All the trees are doing well this summer.
