JOHNNY BRINK'S FLOOR STORE

My Mom, who had lived in Kerrville, Tx. had moved in with me here in the Houston area and we were preparing her house for sale. I contacted Brinks and arranged to meet with Dave one week later when we drove to Kerrville. I had the old carpet removed before I met with him on 10/28, the house cleaned and repainted so the carpeting/tile was the last thing I needed. We settled on the carpet and tile. Brinks was told that the house would be listed on 11/10. There was still 2 days of work left on the painting/cleaning so Dave had 10 days to do his work. The tile work was supposed to begin on 11/3 but didn't start until 11/7. I called Dave and expressed my concern. I reminded him that the realtor would start showing on 11/10 whether he was finished or not as I had given him plenty of time. Turns out the tile guy drove in from San Antonio every days so time was lost to account for his commute. Luckily I have a friend who is a retired General Contractor who oversaw all of this for me. My friend stopped by at 10:30am on the first day of tiling and found the tile guy just arriving and unloading his truck. My friend stopped by again at 4pm on 11/9, the tile guy was gone, there was water on both bathroom floors. The main bathroom sink was filthy and neither toilet had been recaulked after tiling. Dave was told of the lack of caulking and responded by saying they don't do caulking. He was told that my friend had the check for the final payment and wasn't getting it until the job was finished, including the caulking and cleanup. Upon inspection at 3:30 on 11/9, the day before the showings of the house were to start, the caulking had been done but the house was still dirty with tile dust, and where the tile guy had cleaned his tools in the sink and left the mess. We paid Dave at Brinks as I didn't have time to wait for him to finish what I expected him to do and had to have someone come in that night to clean up his mess.

The job took a little longer than I thought but when finished, I am very please with the job.

Good from start to finish,  Excellent workmanship.  Staff was most accommodating.  I had to oversee from out of town, and they made is as seamless as possible.

Very good work was performed by workers. The managers were easy to work with.

On time; professional; very pleased with all aspects of installation.

Store personnel patient and very helpful in selecting floor. On time to measure house. Encouraged us to take various staples to choose from. Install crew on time, very neat, cleaned up each day. Fantastic job.

Everything went well. They were a little slow with the installation but keep in mind that they are busy folks which is good.
The installation was professional and would recommend them again.

There was a waiting period to get the carpet installed since it was ordered and shipped from Atlanta, Ga., and also the fact that Johnny Brinks was very busy with other installations.

Overall, we are very pleased with both the carpet and the sales. The store manager Mr. David Hughs was the one that helped us and did the measuring and bid. Both Mr. Hughs and his wife were very friendly and professional.

After shopping several different places, we chose this company because after speaking with our salesperson, we were confident we would be completely satisfied.  The salesperson, Judy, was very professional, discussed in detail what we should expect, was very patient answering our questions. From decision time to finish she was part of the action so that we only had to speak with one person. She suggested and discussed everything from carpet type, weight, and the pad.
The installers arrived on time, were very courteous, answered all my questions regarding moving the furniture . If I had a preference for doing things, they were happy to do as I wished. We are older and like things simple.
The balance of my flooring is ceramic tile so no more carpet is in my future, but I highly recommend Johnny Brinks to everyone who needs flooring and wants a good experience when contracting for such.

I purchased the flooring from Johnny Brinks, it was economical and strudy for our Motorhome. They installed the floor and it is beautiful. The price was good and the finished product was wonderful. Very good experience with them and will do business again!
